Messaged had been delivered to Nepthtys and as the scribe read it aloud, she pondered deeply. Mayor had left only moments ago, so there was time still. She dismissed the scribe and got ready to late night dinner. Last part of the message intrigued her. What nation did Lady Gold spoke of representing.

Before the message reached Nepthtys, it was deliered to Knight-Commander, and as he was dining with Darius he frowned lightly. "I am sorry friend, but Princess has been called to an late dinner, by Lady Gold. I am sorry, but your appointment with her highness will have to wait."

As Nepthtys started to ride toward the city, two mounted knights and five footmen followed her.

As the town gate, she inquired the whereabouts of lady's estate in the city, from the guards and got the needed information. It was an small town after all, and everyone knew nearly everyone.

Nepthtys made note of the town and its rudimentary layout, as she rode slowly through the streets, toward Lady Golds townhouse.

At the house, one of the soldiers knocked the door, if there were no-one to greet them. There had been amble time to get the message of her arrival from the gates, if lady had somesort of informants in place.

@MIroque

*There were people to greet Princess Nephthys, first there were members of Kazumi's retinue guarding the place and they knew enough to recognice the elven Princess and happily give her access to the inn*

*There was also also a handmaiden working directly under Lady Gold that was awaiting her*

"Welcome Princess Nephthys, the Lady Gold and Lady Kazumi greet you"

*Said the hand maiden. Due to space constraints she was asked to only bring one companion with her,the inn Lady Kazumi had acquired for them was full with so many people*

*If there were no issues the handmaiden will escort the pair to the dinning hall*

*Darius nodded to the commander and said his good byes. He walked away from the Osirian encampment before he activate his Headband's power, and activate the power of flight. He couldn't fly as fast as Princess Nephthys could ride, but he was on his way to the dinner. He hope to see Lady Kazumi again, he had no idea about the arrival of the Gladiator or had yet the pleasure to meet the deadly Hai Linh Mai it was bound to be an interesting dinner.*

As Princess Nepthtys arrived, the soldiers were left to tend the steeds, but the knights came in, one stayed by the front door, yet inside the building and another knight followed the princess without words, where ever she went. Knight actually was first to enter any room where the princess was being led and quickly checked if there were anyone with weapons on them, making sure who they were and what was their disposition.

Nepthtys herself, was dressed in the Osirianic tunic-dress with jetblack gemstones and sparkling blue metallic embroidery. On her head was an crown, with miniature sun on the forehead, and she held an staff made of green stony serpents on her left hand. Under her tunic, most keen eyed people could see unnatural fog moving.

She waited, for the master of servants to announce her, and then she placed an basket filled with exotic fruits from her home desert to the side table as an gift.

(Everyone in the building could feel that the knights were somehow unnatural and they eminated dreadful aura)

OOC: Can I use any type of knowledge skills on these dudes or the fog thingy?

There seems to be a rather dramatic entrance by someone I have seen before, but not personally spoken much to or interacted with. I swallow what is left in my mouth and wave at her, having no sense for the grand entrance."HEllo...skeleton lady. Nice to see you again. Where have you been?"

As the ratwoman spokes to her, Nepthtys looks at it, and replies in crude tradetongue "I have been fine, thank you."

Knight takes an guarding position by the door, keeping an eye on everyone in the room, including service staff.

(Knights have full plates, so you cant really see what makes the aura, and the fog thingy is clearly unnatural.... and hidden under her dress. So no knowledge checks at this point, or @PsychoSexual can of course overrule if there is an reason for the checks. Aka some ongoing powers/abilities/etc)

*The Knights where allowed into the building, though not without complains due to their unnerving auras, but it was only three of them and Lady Kazumi's retinue greatly outnumbered them and Lady Gold's entourage would interact with them if now one else wanted to*

*If there was one thing butlers were trained to do was announced people and just seeing the grandeur which Princess Nephthys was dressed was enough for the butler to know what he needed to do. He spoke at the same time as Nishka an unintended accident.*

"I present to you, Princess Nephthys of Osirion, Blessed elven scholar and Mistress of the Arcane"

Uses Hex: Tongues to speak to her in the language she heard the princess use before with the juju man.

"I am pleased to hear it. That is quite an outfit you have there. Where are you from? Do you prefer this language over regular tongue? If so, we can converse like this", I tell her and smile, having no clue that I might have offended her and it shows easily, rather than it seeming a blatant attempt to do so.

Nepthtys nod to the butler in seeming grattitude, as he tried to do his job, but there were those ignorant of the social decorum.  And then she returned to talk with the ratwoman, who possessed interresting skills.

"Yes, it would be preferable, to use Osirian, but I do not think everyone here can follow, and it would be vulgar to speak language that majority do not know. It would seem as if we were to hide things from them." she said in melodic voice, miles away from the rough tradetongue she spoke before. Then she changed to trade tongue and spoke to the room "I fear my vocabulary is limited on this language. But please, we should try to do best?"

As she noticed the aging warrior, who she have not seen before, she made an small nod toward him, as to acknowledge his being there.

I seemed to have found some sort of way or at least point where I may interact with what looks like the most exotic of the group and therefore the one generating the msot interest in me. I turn off my hex after a minute or so and go back speaking in normal human tongue."I know many languages...lady Nep...Nephthys. Sorry, it will take me some time to properly speak it. I would love to know why you are dressed so differently from the others and I assume it has to do with your origin. Are you from a far away part of Outland? I will happily tell you about my own in exchange as you seem very...shall we say...knowledgeable. For instance, I would like to know how you get spirits to rise skeletons to life. Though it seems a bit....unnatural? OF course, if it is the will of the spirits, we are but their agents", I go on to tell her.

Ferax followed Nishka's eyes to the newcomer and her unnatural entourage.

The chronicler's curiosity was boundless, and the gladiator watched her interrogating the elvish woman with a mixture of awe and enthusiasm. The passion he knew well, but to see to in this context was new and oddly endearing.

When they switched to Elvish he lost the thread of the conversation.  With a slight shrug, he instead concentrated on the women's faces. Words often mattered less than the subtler conversation. An important lesson learned as a slave long ago, and carried forward into freedom.

He cast a glance at Hai Linh as she rose but felt no compunction to do so himself.

*Darius flies back into the in through the window he had first left from and to almost everyone it would seem as if he had been in his room all this time. He finds a note from the butler and realizes he too was invited to dinner but that the butler had been unable to find him. He considers for a few moments not to attend. The Red Wizard was tired, it had been an eventful day in every way and shape and he wanted the rewards that would come with sleep. But his ego didn't allow him to rest, and the chance to see Lady Kazumi was worth the extra effort.*

*Darius left his room and walked towards the dining hall finding Nephthys knights standing guard in strategic locations and he hopes they recognize by know he means no threat, or at least that if he did it would take more than a single knight to stop him, but he is polite and he allows them to inspect him if they wish to. Eventually he makes it to the dinning hall and he walks inside without ceremony*

@writerofthings

*Ferax sees a man dressed in red and gold, he wears light armour made of some kind of plant but not one the Gladiator has ever seen, he carries a bastard sword that looks as sharper than his own swords. By his muscles, size and movement it was clear that sword was not just there for decoration and that the man knew how to use it. By any indication he was a warrior, which is why what the butler says is surprising*

"This is Lord Blackwoord. The Red Wizard"

@Dozle The Crusader @MIroque @JennyDK @Balthier

*He exchanges with Adam and pats his shoulders, gives a nod to Princess Nephthys, and the others but his eyes quickly settle in what to him are newcomers, the beautiful brunette with a stare that seems as deadly as her sword, he assumes she must be part of Lady Kazumi's retinue since he fails to find her in the room and then he looks at the sell-sword carrying two swords, he seemed he would be good in a fight, someone worth listening to in matters of the sword but beyond that he was unimpressed as he was with almost everyone he met.*

@IsabellaRose

*The Red Wizard approaches to unknown warrior woman and he bows to her in deference*

"May I presume I am right in believing you are one of Lady Kazumi's maidens?"

Ferax eye the newcomer with some curiosity. Carrying an unsheathed sword seemed an odd choice, but who was he to judge, as he wore a completely useless wooden gladius.

He gave a polite nod at the butler's announcement, and said, "Welcome - you're just in time. Boar is freshly sliced and, as it happens, the conversation has turned to Elvish which I speak beyond poorly. Sit."

I turn towards Ferax once more, eyeing over the large and muscular form of his with some interest."Ohhh, I only meant to use it briefly. I wanted to see if I have mastered a new power granted to me by the great spirits. I am the connection between thme and the physical plane  you see. Their will comes through me as I am the conductor of it. I wield only the power of knowledge gladiator Ferax. I humbly and sincerely thank you for being so nice to grant me the time and opportunity to learn many new things. I would love to return the favour in any way I can", I tell the kind man.

Ferax looks from the heavily armed wizard to the chronicler.

"At the moment," the gladiator replied with an easy smile and a gesture to the newly delivered desert fruits, "the conversation and treats from a distant shildhood are enough."

He gestured at a nearby seat for Nepthtys, "Please, @MIroque Nepthtys, join us. I am long away from the desert lands."

He lifted a cup of wine and took a drink, 'Well, that is good.' He thought, looking into the cup as if it might introduce itself. He gave an inscrutable little chuckle and took another drink before he set it aside and continued his observation of the folk about the room.

Opps that's Common they're speaking.

I nod lightly at his reply and this time I try to pour myself some of the "wine" as they call it. We do have some primitive alcohol in our culture, but it looks and smells quite different from this, mainly due to the ingredients and process of making it. I take a few sips and soon find it to my liking."Ohhh, wow. This wine sure is lovely. How do you make it?", I ask to nobody in particular.

Ferax tilts his cup to look into it again before leaning it toward Nishka as the butler speaks, "There you go - that's about the way the elves do it too." He takes another sip and sets the cup aside. "There are maps at the ludus, perhaps tomorrow we can stop by and see what you can take."

 "So, what of your home? You seem to be collecting a lot of information about us," he ask Nishka, gesturing to include the room about them, "This is an unusual meeting for us, but at home, when there is a big important function what does the feast look like. Surely your young, eager warriors drink too much and make fools of themselves -" He eyes Blackwood conspiratorially, "as many of us have - what do they drink?"

The gladiator gestures with the cup to the Mainlander, "I assure you for very few of us was it this."

I do not wait for the butler to get out of hearing range as Ferax speaks to me:"Ohhh, that is lovely. It seems weird that no one here has a map or one they even willing to at least show me. Like it is some sort of secret. I mean, Mainland is huge and that requires a map, even for veterans wayfinders and scholars like myself. If it were at home, there would be no need for exxchange of metal discs for simple information and I resent the idea of it". The tone is annoyed, which is very rare for me.

I sigh softly and then return to his inquires once more."I have always been curious about everyhing really. It must have been fated for me to wander beyond the borders of Mainland and out here. My path has led me to wield the will of the spirits of the universe. I seek to know all I can within my time on the physical plane as that is the only power us mortals should aim, so we may guide the world towards the best possible future. I am sure you know examples of people who aims for power....how that potentially can turn bad if they turn evil. So in short: I seek all this knowledge to guide the path of myself and others in search of a brighter future. I am sorry to rant, but I cannot give a shorter reply to your question gladiator Ferax",. I bow in apology should it have overwhelmed him.

Thankfully, there is also a much lighter topic at play here and I aim to indulge it, the warrior quickly seeing how the ratfolk loves to converse."Well, yes. some of the younger ones do tend to get a bit too wild at times, but in the swamps that is hardly an issue. And they mostly drink juice and cider made from various plants. There are the occsional ales as well.", I say and give a light laughter. I failt to catch the reference to the juju caster, but I sense there is a target of his comment.

I stay silent and listen, for once, and wait for the male servant to finish what he is saying. At least I somewhat grasp the idea of how shinies work to get goods and services, even if the concept is so far removed from my perception and culture as it could be. Still, if there is anything I can acquire to stop this Shar, it is worth investigating. Surely a handful of metal discs will be able to get most stuff. The idea of keeping a large amount of shinies seems ridiculous to me and I still have no idea why I kept the many from the merchants I helped out.

"I would like very much to have access to this...uuhmm..laj-bra-ryh...as you call it. Are there anthing there about nearly immortal greenskins?", I ask as this has been my only obstacle so far and thus the most pressuring of topics to look up.
