Izzy's on sabbatical, so Challenge me is limited to yours truly, but I'm game.

Our Stories is exactly that, share your story with us, fictitious, autobiographical whatever express yourself with words - purple prose is especially welcome.

How much interest would there be in a daily Kinktober writing prompt? Nothing you'd have to do every day, but maybe I fire a few credits your way for every day you write one, just to get people writing and sharing some kinky fun...

KinktoberFest is over! I'm participating in NaNoWriMo, so there may not be any challenges this month. I'll see what I can do, but no promises.

I'll offer this suggestion: The beginning of the holidays are upon us; there are horror stories from getting a little too drunk at the company party to the heartfelt encounter at the liquor store. Let's hear your holiday encounters, from the mundane to the insane.

Is there any special reason why both examples involve alcohol in some way?

i presume its because alcohol is commonly used for celebration among adults

@inkylore has it. Lots of problems around gatherings of people either start or are worsened by alcohol. But please, if there are holiday stories that involve other drugs, don't involve poor decision making at all, or poor decision making that doesn't cause hassles, let's tell those stories too.

do they have to be reflections of real life or are we welcome to just make up a story with that premise in mind?

Often, the very best fiction draws from life and almost every recollection is embellished whether we meant to or not.

After a bit of thinking it over, I did come up with something.  You know how during December they usually have those "12 days of Christmas" specials where they play Christmas episodes or movies?  I don't know if they still do it because it's been years since I've openly watched TV, but how about something in a similar format to Kinktoberfest, but just with winter/holiday themed ideas.  Just, a bit shorter than 31 days.  We can even throw in the "drinking at a holiday party" idea in there, since that apparently happens.

Also in advance I'll give my usual "no promises of actually participating depending on what other things I have going on at the time" comment, but we saw how that went last time.  12 holiday ideas may actually be a bit harder for me than 30 different ideas following their own themes with a somewhat connected plotline mixed in there.

We could do a 12 Days of SeX-Mas challenge. I can try to come up with some holiday-themed prompts. I'm going to be busy for the rest of the month trying to finish NaNoWriMo, but maybe I can get something together in early Dec.

It's loong time from the last time I wrote something. This is exactly the kind of writing exercise I need : ) Had trim modest 1500 words out to make it close to 1500 : p I get sidetracked way too easily. I didn't come up with anything happy, so bitter sweet it is : p

Took a look at previous prompts and there were some really interesting ones. Looking forward to future challenges : )

could i use the "challenge me" section  in the same manner you and WNS have used it, isabel? as a both to be issued writing challenges too? i wanted to get back into the grove and habit of writing recreationally again.
