putting in my two cents though this is the first time ive heard of CYOA... and from what ive seen its similar to dnd moduals minus the adventure part where they have resources you can inact upon but not a actual adventure to follow...

i do feel it would be a popular concept among GM players familiar with the dungeon master rp style but of course with each CYOA there's kind of a reading slop for both dms and players. having to read what the cyoa is about following making a character bio for that cyoa specifically. the GM on the other hand having to read even more of it... and thus i feel that might knock the winds out of one's sails to continue on after having to repeat the process... granted i could be wrong as my attention span is not the best for long reads like that....

then again its important to note ive only ever looked and read a bit of one or two and that there might be more to it then simple reading it that im not familiar with

I've only just joined but I think this would be really cool in conjunction with a "hub world" setting. With a collection of characters striving for some common goal. A GM(s) could host various adventures that people can go on and everyone can enjoy a social setting to RP in in the meantime. But even just a forum to collect groups to do whatever they come up with would be fun!
