After leaving the Combat Zone on her own accord, Cait decided to find a new and better life for herself. Not long after she left, she ran into someone snooping around and luckily, she did not end up ambushing the other woman. She looked fairly harmless and mostly just investigating the area, but was then surprised as Cait showed up with a bloody baseball bat, still warm from busting Raider skulls at the Combat Zone. She figured that having some back-up is still better than going alone and risk danger even more. So the two of them strike up a conversation and Cait ends up agreeing to being Piper's "muscle" and getting paid to watch her back. So this is how the two end up as a very unusual and odd duo venturing the Wasteland of the Commonwealth.

Piper and Cait are currently roaming around the deserted town of Concord, Piper following a potential lead about synths in Diamond City. However, the lead seems to not exist or at least having left this place. As they exit the old newspaper building, they encounter a large group of Raiders, all of them seemingly have waited on them and appears to be after them due to the aftermath that Cait left behind.

Only moments before the two women arrived were the raiders sitting around a burning barrel, talking about what their plan was and how they'd get back at whoever it was that took down their colleagues. They didn't care for each other that much, it was more about sending a message to those who know of them, and a warning to those who don't. After they finally finished their planning and everybody was fully geared, the elected leader of their group lead them through the streets of Concord. Scouts had found the location of the women and the group quickly moved to intercept them...

Finally, the raiders(5 men) and the two women stood in front of one another. Staring each other down as some of the raiders spread out to form a small wall. One, a rather stocky man with an eyepatch, stepped forward. He sat his crudely made rifle on his shoulder and chuckled.

"Well, well, well.... Now, how in the hell did these two damsels kill off so many of us?" He chuckled and looked back at the others who were also feeling giggly. His face turned back to them and was suddenly stern and rigid. "Anything you wanna say? Any pleas...?" He practically begged the two woman.

Piper, not that experienced or comfortable with fighting, quickly hides behind the more stoic and stout redheaded, Irish gal Cait. She lets the tougher of the two deal with the situation as she feels it would very tough to try and talk their way out of this, at least by what methods she is used to. Even by being outnumbered like this, Cait shows a lack of fear as she has been around Raiders far longer than most normal people. Of course, neither group of these have no idea that someone else is keeping an eye on what is going on....

The men all went from chuckling like madmen(which they are), to stern-faced and ready to fight. They were always like this, joking around sometimes even DURING a gunfight. Not exactly the brightest bunch, but their sheer numbers and weapons usually helps them win most gunfights. 

The leader once again changed expressions, cycling through a mixture of confusion, anger, and glee.... 

"Pffff-... You think your bat is gonna make you strong enough to take us on? News flash," His rifle was now pointed right at her head, only a few feet away from tapping her forehead. "bullets move faster than you, bitch."

His colleagues also trained a mixture of pipe pistols and rifles on their bodies and heads. One man was even brazen or dumb enough to bring a pool cue. It was that stupidity that made so many people just walk past and ignore them most of the time. 

Nearby, a struggle was being made as somebody or... something was trying to remove a rope from their neck and legs. A loud roar and growl erupted down the street and echoed its way towards them. The leader of the raiders and a few others turned their heads toward the sound. "The hell...?"

Much to the dismay of Cait (as well as Piper of course), the Raiders did not seem to be intimidated off the ground. It is a bit of a 50/50, mostly relying on how high or drunk these morons usually are and who is the current leader. So both Cait and Piper grip their respective weapons, Piper with a trusty revolver and Cait with her sturdy bat, readying themselves for whatever comes next. Even with the situation going south like this, Cait still appears as stubborn and smug as ever."Your fucking funeral, yah morons", she says and motions for Piper to head behind cover. As she makes ready to charge directly at the leader, aiming to make a feigning move to fool him to shoot at empty air, things go even more wild as nearby noises catched the Raiders off guard enough for Cait to lunge forward and basically uppercut the leader with her bat, making a loud "crack" noise as his neck twists and breaks and he drops dead on the ground. Piper manages to pull off another kill as Cait have taught her how they can function better together in combat. Cait, still in rapid motion, does not have to move far and in one, solid motion making her former swing go a new direction and batter the back of a head of one more raider, busting the skull easily. The rest of the group flees as cowardice overwhelms blood lust and being high on Jet."Run yah bastards...don't make me come after yah and smash yah fucking knee caps!", she shouts and afterwards, the two of them try and sneak closer to these odd noises.

Before the leader of the group knew it, his neck was already broken and his rifle fell to the ground beside him. The other raiders barely even managed to look back towards the girls before they were dead. Each one fell to the ground with a heavy thud, some clanking as their makeshift armor hits the ground and scrapes the old concrete. Piper's round shot straight into the raider's heart and had him dead before his body could even drop his gun, holding it tightly as he fell over the barricade he used as cover. Cait's bat cracked against the other raider's head and caved his skull in. Even if he wasn't dead, he still would be stuck there, unconcious and riddled with brain damage.

 

As the two of them made their way towards the noises, the eruptions of growls and roaring became less frequent. Who, or whatever it was could tell somebody was getting closer.... After one somewhat quieter growl, the thing was confirmed to be human. At least, it spoke...

"H-Hello? Please. Help me!" The person spoke in a rather rough voice, somewhat hoarse as if they were currently being strangled.

It did not take long before the human duo makes their way from where they were and towards the source of these noises. Even more dead raiders lie on the ground, leading to look what is clearly the cause of this mayhem, it being one of the most feared creatures in the Wasteland, it being one of the dangerous Deathclaws, which are huge, radiated and mutated lizards with deadly claws and bites. Both females gasp sharply and do their best to hide behind a nearby dumpster, though the large lizard likely still saw them cover like that. Luckily for them, they do not look like Raiders at all, so the large creature has less reason to think she is with these lawless bastards.

The deathclaw's eyes widened when she saw the two human woman walking closer, sighing in relief when she noticed how they weren't covered in makeshift and rusty armor like those raiders. Maybe they'd help her? Hopefully.... Though, it seemed that was not the case as the two woman quickly ducked out of her sight. Just because they were out of sight did not mean she hadn't seen them and she can still easily smell them...

"H-Hey! I won't bite! I am not like my more savage kin! Help me, please!" She yelled out, seeming almost like a weak child with how desperate she sounded. Her body was all but weak though, she was covered in nearly bulletproof armor from head to toe, she had hands that are big enough to grasp heads and razor sharp claws tipped her fingers, even her face had plates of armor and her mouth was filled with sharp teeth meant for ripping flesh! She understood just how terrifying she looked and hated it in situations like this...

Despite being a deathclaw, however, she was wearing a very large shirt and shorts that she snagged from some statue or art piece... The once baggy shirt was now tight against her torso and ripped in many places, even partially revealing the much softer skin of her breast. In her shorts seemed to be 4 large bulges that ran along her thighs that looked like muscles. They were...something like that...

The two of them keep in cover, but is very much taken by surprise by the sounds of speech, which seems to come from the deathclaw, as it sounds more animalistic and growley, but still intelligible. NAturally, these beings are not known to be anything less than animals and ruled by instinct, so one speaking is very shocked to say the least and point towards normal intelligence. So they dare rise above the edge of the dumpster to at least peek out enough so they can spot the creature. Belle watched as the two woman come from behind the old world dumpster, a small toothy grin forming before being stifled. She realized that it looked like she was snarling when smiling like that... The way the dark-haired woman spoke made her back away from them, making the rope around her arms go somewhat loose and tightening the rope around her throat. 

"M-Mmph....Y-Yep... No harm! I-I can't even do anything with my arms tied anyways..." She says while trying to pull rope and lifting up whatever was holding it down in the nearest building. It was some type of pulley system that constantly had her fighting against the rope. Normally, this weight is nothing, but she had been here for so long that it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep it up. If she were to go entirely limp then the rope around her throat would tighten enough to strangle her....

It was true, the dumbasses really did try to capture her like that and somehow managed to almost get her down, but by some sheer fucking luck did they manage to get a thick enough rope around her throat. This is likely the first time ever or one of very, very encounters with humans that has been friendly or not resulted in the humans fleeing from even the slightest clue of a giant , mutated lizard being nearby. So it is probably a very nice change of pace and a good chance to try and make friends or more with these people.
