I know it went about who stayed with her all along and saw all that she saw but technically, that does not seem to apply to anyone...

At least, I don't think it would apply with her wandering on her own. Violetta also seems to be doing her own thing on her side and with her personality, I doubt she'd have been this "close" to Seraphina. I can be wrong, though. I have nothing against Violetta. Funny thing. She has a description of her having killed people.

In the violent world of the apocalypse there are killers. A lot of them. The ones who aren't are the rarities. If who ever answers that question says they have always been there, that's true. Again, you don't have to like each other. You just know them. Maybe it is Violetta or Kiyo - both of whom move with violence - honestly, Kiyo more so that Violetta most likely - but that means you know that when they're around there's likely to be someone who needs you. Perhaps Jasmine has always lived in the settlement with you and you two came up together, you always wondering who she'd sell her soul to. Maybe now you know.

You don't have to think she sold her soul - it's a possibility. The point is your past with the other characters is free to be defined an Hx is familiarity not closeness.

now a few questions, how do highlighted stats work? do we pick one? two? or are they defined somewhere? is there somewhere talking about weapons i missed? aparently i have a lot of options to generate NPC's, gangs, or vehicles... so well the above is what im going with currently, if someone can... explain those to me i may adjust things

Your weapon(s) are exactly what the playbook says, look at the other playbooks except the Battlebabe and pick one, but your gutax is plenty cool enough that we can make that happen. Take the faceless' axe (3 harm, close, messy) and add (loud) if you use it in combat and miss, it's out of tune and your next gig roll is at -2, but, fuck, you look HOT (or is that butt fuck, you look hot?)

You pick three items from this list:

  •  You have a vehicle (you detail).
  • You have a gigantic armored war-vehicle (you detail).
  • You can strip your rig down to a version that you can carry as a backpack (valuable hitech).
  • When you play, your instrument shoots fire (2-harm messy loud).
  • When you play, your instrument drips blood.
  • When you play, water freezes, and your skin and instrument frost over.
  • When you play, you fill the air from horizon to horizon, and people miles away feel the earth rumble.
  • When you play, the ancient death satellites that still orbit the earth stir in their sleep.
  • When you play, it gives people sensitive to the world’s psychic maelstrom nosebleeds.

A vehicle is just that, a way to move from gig to gig. A war rig will be a big ass truck that, I assume, you drive. It's probably armored and has a dozer blade, maybe spear launchers or guns too. Up to you.

The security detail are your goons who keep you safe. They're NPCs and will want things - food, sex, barter shelter and they can be a problem if they don't get it. Musicians would be similar, but they're less likely to start trouble if they don't get what they want. Musicians and dancers may fuck off and start their own gigs though. That could be a different kind of bad.

It less GM dickishness than The Brainer is a thing and The Show is a thing. Your relationships are between those high order identities the components of those identities are distinct. You can ACT as a body guard, but you're not part of that gang. You can play, but you're not one of hers. You can drive her vehicle, but it remains hers. 

Does that clarify at all?

I meant more along the lines of the mechanical side of this, since i saw bits and pieces of keywords that gangs and vehicles could have, and basically did not want to ignore them simply because i did not know they existed, but based on your description and since it doesnt mention anything about mechanics, is It not that important?  i was assuming there might be decision points within say vehicle creation that might make that vehicle able to do things i might not initially think of, if its basically just a bike or a bus or something ill probably err on the side of the more mysticy bullshit stuff :3

...obviously im leaning into the idea that when i play, the world listens :3 you can tweak the flavor of any of these if they dont fit the setting for one reason or another, but i want to hard lean into the weird side as its been growing on me

the thing im seeing is the game really likes to define "who causes what" and if you basically took the slot of my feature... its kinda a weird gray area that blurs the line, granted thats all moot for now, but later on one of my advancements lets me literally give whoever has my leash a gang? which was the main reason i was caring on the details for now

That absolutely could have been Violetta. We were lived at the same settlement for a time. When the guy who trained Violetta was killed, the settlement fell. We both left, perhaps not together, but we saw each other and coincidentally headed in the same direction. I saw what you did to survive, you saw what I did. Neither of us would have made the same decisions, but we didn’t judge each other; you do what you have to to survive. When someone tried to attack/kill you, I killed them. When someone left me for dead, you patched me up. It was coincidence, and we may not even like each other, but we know  each other. I know you save people. You know I kill them.

That's... interestingly creative. I have nothing against that so you win the hx+3 for it, I guess. Which means that all of my questions have been answered. I only answered 1 in total, myself. No idea if there is anything left to do for that but yeah. I am updating a kind of playbook image I took and will also update the character profile accordingly.

I didn't mean close as in "friend". But as in literal closeness since the question says "Has been with you all the way and has seen what you have seen". At first, I figured that nobody has been that "close" to her for a long time. Distance, not friendship. XD But this is also why I said I could be wrong. Anyhow, I think this equation has been solved. :)

my two cents (that no one asked for) is that i love that style of dynamic :D not quite respect, not liking each other, not hating each other, but knowing each others way of life, or at least way of surviving, and being present enough where you have respectively saved each others ass, well being distant enough to not particularly want to have known the other...
thats a fantastic starting point for a story.

Good question actually. Kiyo is done. Leon is done. That is all I know for certain.

I mean besides highlighting stats, which we do when everyone's questions are finished, but that might be the case here?

Speaking of which, nobody can answer any more of my questions so I believe I would ask Leon which one of my stats is the most interesting, and then I would highlight it. And then the MC would highlight a second stat.

After that I should be completely done (save for any more backstory building questions that are asked).

Got a vague idea of what that gear should be, but I was not sure if it qualifies as ‘armor-1’, which the book says can optionally be included.  Was thinking some sort of hide suit, made from a particularly significant hunt amongst his tribe.  The chest piece maybe being thicker, more protective.

Also looks like Kiyo is the one who gets to my stat.  As for Leon’s choice for Kiyo, I’m still figuring this all out, what is best choices for things, but I think I will choose Hard.
