I was thinking: Austin, Caleb, Canaan if Austin is still there to interact with. We can say that he went to the Alpha wing after this interaction.

Yes he is... Unless you wanna intrude on his "me time" to discuss some stuff. Other than that, to me, that interaction in the foyer was concluded.

I think it is like how normal werewolves are. Full moons they have to transform into some type of form or suffer immense physical pain from holding back. Otherwise it is voluntary.

Fully controllable in this continuity. Well kind of, there are things that can be done to force transformation like specific types of torture. But I wont go too far into it yet.
