It was another day for Ryo.  A teenage boy, enjoying his summer vacation.  His parents were not home.  They worked of course.  Sometimes they worked late.  It was just him and his little sister, Kanna.  They got along well enough.  In the past few years he had been expected to help keep an eye on her, with how often their parents were gone.  It worked well enough, the quiet boy he was.  He had few if any friends, spent most of his time at home.  At the moment though, he was in his room.  Letting Kanna do her own thing.  While he did his.

The problem was what his thing was.  Reading a manga, one meant for an older age.  A story about a brother and sister in love, and going quite far in their love.  He had originally started reading this sort of thing out of curiosity.  He like reading stories that crossed lines, exploring things not seen in reality or without going into darker aspects of society.  They were just stories...right?  Originally they were.  But they had an unfortunate side effect.  How long had it been?  A few weeks, months?  Recently he had begun looking at Kanna differently.  Not as a sister, but as a girl.  A girl he wanted.  He was discrete, kept these thoughts to himself, the looks discrete.  He looked at her differently now, but she was still his sister.  He still loved her as his sister, not a girl.  He focused these desires on these fictional sisters.  Using the manga to relieve his desires, to help him get himself off, with a disappointed sigh.  He always had to be careful not to be caught.  Kanna was still innocent, he had to wonder if she knew anything at all about sex.

He quickly disposed of his evidence, burying under more innocent trash and hid the manga.  He went to his computer, looking for more innocent fun.  Something to distract him, until Kanna sooner or later came over and looked for something to do with him.  Probably dragging him outside somewhere.  Most of his time out was doing things she wanted.

Kanna was on her way home from a club meeting that she had joined at the beginning of the year of her first year of middle school. Even though it was summer break, the club still agreed to meet up weekly until school started again. The club meeting was held at the school,  so she was wearing her middle school uniform. It was navy blue with two red stripes on the collar, skirt and sleeves. During the winter months she would wear thigh socks and during summer knee socks. Today was relatively hot as most summer days are, so she opted to wear her long, dark hair half up in pigtails. 

Since their parents were always busy with work she had decided to learn how to cook and joined the cooking club. It would reduce some of the stress off her older brother and also help secure a boyfriend when she was older. As the saying goes, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. However, Kanna had 0 interest in all the boys she's met so far. They all felt so immature and with her and her brother getting so close, she had pretty high standards for how a man should act and treat a lady. 

As she walked home from school she thought to herself, perhaps I will incorporate todays cooking lesson into our dinner tonight! Everything she had cooked thus far was at the very least edible, although, some dishes definitely tasted better than others. The convenience store was on her way home, so she quickly stopped in to grab a few ingredients with her allowance. It wasn't much, but it was enough for her and her brother tonight as their parents would be working later than usual.

When she arrived at her house after opening the door she called out, "I'm home!" Then began taking off her shoes and putting them in a near by cubby and immediately putting on her pale green fuzzy slippers. The club meeting started in the late morning, so by the time she got home it was early afternoon. Kanna decided to keep her uniform on for a bit longer in case her and her brother decided to leave the house again today. She made her way up the stairs and knocked on her brother's closed door, "Oniichan, can I come in?"

The food.  That was a bonus in Ryo's mind.  He had never been much good at that.  He usually either ordered something their parents had left money for, or tried to make something out of what was available, with mixed results.  He felt a little guilty letting his sister take on that sort of responsibility at such a young age.  But she seemed to enjoy it, and was good at it, so he would do it without complaining, as long as it made Kanna happy.  He was off in his own little world, having fun, when the knock finally came.  "Come in."  He was not doing anything embarrassing, Kanna knew about most of his interests and what he tended to do without her gentle prodding.  He was not a fan of going out in general, though he usual found a way to have fun if he was with his sister.  For now, he stuck to his game, waiting to see what was on his sister's mind.  She knew he could lost in that sort of thing, though her being around generally dragged his eyes away from the screen a little while, to turn her attention towards her.  But for the moment he was focused on the screen, he had interest in a variety of genres, though at Kanna would see her brother shifting around various complicated screens, building up a civilization to eventually dominate the game's world.  That was the plan at least.  He was reasonably good, but no top tier pro.  It did not always work out so well.

After Kanna heard Ryo give her the okay to come in, she opened the door. It wasn't surprising in the least to find her older brother playing video games during their summer break. It was one of his favorite past times and she never really saw him leave the house unless it was with her. He was the one who introduced them to her when she was much younger, too. She enjoyed video games, but not to the extent he did. Also, the genres they both enjoyed didn't often intersect anymore. Simulation, dating sims (the nonsexual kind), and cutesy games were more her style. Regardless, she still enjoyed watching the games he played, since in her eyes he was a pro at them. When she attempted to play strategy games, she always got her butt kicked. She was also a bit too young for her parents to let her have her own computer in her room, so instead she stuck to her Nintendo Switch. That way on days when Ryo really didn't wanna leave the house she could play on her switch on his bed and watch him gaming from there.

"I was thinking of going swimsuit shopping today. I spent all of my allowance on food for dinner tonight, but mom gave me some money the other day!" Kanna exclaimed excitedly. She had just started the very first stages of puberty. Her chest was no longer completely flat and she grew a bit taller compared to last year. Soon her hair body hair would darken and grow in but luckily that hasn't happened yet for her. No shaving required yet! With all of these changes there was no way her old bathing suit would fit anymore. Perhaps she'll have to try it on anyways at some point for the sheer amusement. "Would you come with me?" she asked shyly. Most girls her age would go with their friends, but Kanna only had a few close ones. Somehow they were all busy and Kanna wanted to get her swimsuit sooner than later as she loved swimming. Luckily there is a local pool not too far from where they live either.

Swimsuit buying?  Kanna had managed to come up with something innocent but that also indulged her secret desires for Kanna.  Ryo pictured her in various swim suits, one piece, bikini.  He even imagined her in ones so small she was almost naked, though those probably were not available for a girl like her, and he would not dare buy something that extreme.  But he could probably convince her to buy something showier than she was used to.  Show off the ways she was just starting to develop, which he had noticed too.

He saved and shut the game off, turning to face her.  “Sure, we can do that.  Let’s have a little fun with it, consider all the options.”  He was not going to be honest about his reasons.  But he guessed he could come up with reasons that would convince Kanna to try things that showed off a little more than she was used to.  She was growing up after all, though still rather innocent.  “Did you want to go now?  Or did you have things you had to do first?”  He was ready to get right to it, if she was.

Kanna was taken aback by how quickly Ryo shut off his game. Usually she had to do a little begging or pleading for him to come do things outside the house with her. He also tended to be a bit more resistant and a would vocally complain more when it came to shopping. However, begging wasn't really necessary since the only times he has said no was for a good reason. She shrugged off the confusion and was now excited instead. "I'm a bit hungry, Onii-chan. We could get food at the mall, get something on the way or we could try to make something really quick here?" she asked. Mall food was always delicious, but so bad for you and your wallet. Plus it can make you bloat so bad... probably not the best choice before swim suit shopping. A light meal or snack would be the better option. She had already refrigerated anything that needed to be when she got home. The rest was left out for easy access later.

"Food is really the only concern I have right now." As Kanna had overslept a bit today she had no time for breakfast or today's lesson didn't allow her to nibble on much at the meeting either.

It was pretty normal for students to wear their uniforms while out and about. Even during summer you'd see kids wearing their uniforms. Though, not as often as when school was in session. Lots of short skirts and short sleeve shirts for the girls. "Oh, actually, I think I want to put my hair up so it doesn't get in the way while trying clothes on. Be back really quick!" Kanna darted to her room before her brother could respond. It only took her a few minutes to change her hair into two pigtails as it was one of the hairstyles she'd cycle through for school. "Okay, let's go!" she said eagerly.

Ryo had been a little more eager than usual.  He hoped that was not too strange.  At least he had not given off a hint of why he was interested.  He had kept the hints of his changing desires for Kanna well hidden.  Could not imagine he would ever act on them.  That was something for the stories he read.  Not something that could happen real.  There was the question of food.  He did not like to go out to eat that much.  Though if he had to, mall food was not the worst option.  Quick and easy.  He did love Kanna's food.  But they would be having that for dinner.  He was not worried about Kanna's weight either.  He did not want her to get too much, but a few pounds might be cute, depending on how they showed on her body.  "Let's just get a little snack on the way."  He answered as he stood up and followed her out of his room and towards the door.  That was probably less suspicious than his eagerness to go shopping.  Something quick and easy, not too big.  To eat quickly.  Possibly while they walked, depending on exactly what it was.

"Alright!" Chirped Kanna as she skipped out the door ahead of Torin, her skirt and pigtails bouncing with each step she took. Some of the skips were high enough that her pale pink, bikini-style panties and the creases of her butt cheeks were slightly visible. As they got onto the side roads of the neighborhood she stopped skipping and turned around to say, "Let's not be out for too long, though. I'm super excited for dinner!"

It wasn't that far of a walk to the train station and the train ride itself wasn't terribly long either. It took them around 30 minutes to arrive at their local shopping district. Nearby there was a vending machine that sold a variety of buns. There were sweet buns, savory buns, even strange flavors. From curry to red bean paste, to melon flavor. As Kanna had spent all of her allowance on ingredients for dinner, she gave her big brother puppy dog eyes and pointed at the melon flavor. "This, please?" A sweet bun would be easy enough to eat on the go and isn't so big that they won't be hungry again in a couple of hours, specially after all the walking.

Ryo tried not to stare too much at what Kanna was unintentionally showing off.  But he could not pull his eyes away quickly.  But with the swimsuits, maybe he would get a chance to see more of it.  Maybe he could convince her to try on a variety, some that showed more than others.  On the train they were close as they tended to be.  Ryo had long ago told her he would protect her whenever they were on the train together.  Not overly elaborating on what he was protecting her from.  But it gave them a chance to be close.  Usually have some light but innocent contact.  Most often their sides lightly touching.  Though it was crowded, he was occasionally lucky enough to have Kanna's body pressed against his, sometimes front, sometimes back.  He savored those moments, but kept himself from doing anything too suspicious, when it happened.

After they got to the vending machine, he did not exactly need that look to spoil Kanna, but it was the same.  He found her really hard to resist when she acted like that.  It was cute at first, but this days fueled his less pure desires for her.  He did not have a huge amount of money either, but would happily buy whatever she wanted.  Buying two, handing one to her.  "There you go."  He said, impulsively patting her head, unable to avoid reacting to something like that.  But gave her the reaction a brother might naturally give her,acting cute like that.  He took a bite out of his own while doing so.
