Another chance - Ranna and Kappei

Recommended Posts

The scene changed again, the former bully now bruised up and his clothes looked down on his beaten defeated former friends. Words and been exchanged and punches had connected. They would never be friends again. He gazed upon the girl whom he had betrayed his friends for, but instead of approval and love, she looked at him with disapproval. She left in a huff and the drapes closed.

"The boy that had loved the girl so much that he was willing to abandon his childhood friends for her was now alone  and he would never feel her gaze of love upon him. Because what kind of man would just abandon his friends? The girl knew that such a man was bad. She could not, and would not fratenize with such boys!" The narrator voice explained, giving the audience a better picture of what had happened. Kappei shook his head wryly. He could pretty much imagine where this was going. They had called this a reinactment, but this felt more like a comedy in his opinion.

The curtains rose again and the cocktease was shown sitting on a bench together with some other girls and boys. The scene made it clear that this was supposed to be a mixer and that they were doing karaoke. Everyone hit it off together. The cocktease spoke about how she hated pushy guys and it was clear that the boy she was talking too did his best to act the way she wanted. The scene ended and shifted into a new scene where the girl was sitting writing in her diary again.

"What is wrong with men? He was just my type, but then he had to go ruin it by being so wimpy. Why couldn't he have been a real man and been more forward! I could never date a guy like that!" She complained. The guy had acted exactly like she had said she wanted guys to act, and then she had dumped him because of it.

Ranna was starting to get an idea were this going.  She would not be too surprised if the story ended without the girl finding anyone, though at this point she considered the possibility of a twist.  She would not say anything yet, waiting to see if the girl was going to continue to be annoying and her own worst enemy, or if there would be a sign that she might actually find someone.  She was also curious to see who the boy in the other half of the title was, whether he was the twist or another one she screwed up with.  Was she going to think he was too big or something?

The play continued in the same manner, with the heroin of the story leading men and women on only to friendzone or outright reject them later. The rejected ones were the lucky ones, because the friendzoned ones were kept around only to be led on even more. As the play continued, it slowly became more and more apparent that the girl thought that all of this was normal and good. None of the boys or girls were good enough for her. Since nobody was good enough but so many kept on wanting to be with her, didn't this make her so much better than anyone else? Shouldn't everyone be happy like this?

"It is just so easy. Just a kind word here, or a smile there, and they all do what I ask of them." The girl said out loud as she was shown sitting alone at her desk, writing in her diary again.

"They all just want something from me, though. It's disgusting! If they care so much about me, why can't they see that I'm uncomfortable with them?" She said and then closed her diary with a loud bang. Her way of thinking had become increasingly selfish and self-centered throughout the play, and her character was slowly starting to be unrecognizable from how it had been when the play had started.

Ranna did finally feel the need to say something else.  "Surprised they actually wrote something like here. didn't have her spread her legs for everyone...maybe they will give her an actual horse."  She had not necessarily expected the actress to screw all the other characters, but she was a little surprised a play written in a place like this had none so far...though she would not be completely surprised if they actually did bring an actual horse in.  The lack of sex did not exactly bother her itself, that was more of a surprise than anything.  Though the character was getting a little annoying about and she had no idea at this point if she was going to get any better or not.

Kappei had been quietly enjoying the show for what it was, eating his chicken and sausages, when his soon to be fiancee started commenting on the play. Now, as much as he had come to accept her complaining and snide remarks, couldn't she at least wait until the play was over?

"Use your mouth on this instead." Kappei muttered, pushing one of the big spicy sausages into Ranna's mouth while she was speaking. Eight inches long and as thick thick as two of his fingers, the sausage was plenty big and did a good job at stopping Ranna's little rant.

...This was intentional, wasn't it?  He had chose this for a reason, waiting to have an excuse to stick it in her mouth?  Ranna could not help but suspect that may have been the case.  She was not going to let herself focus on the shape though, do anything that would look strange.  She was tempted to spit it on to the floor, but she was not as much of brat as Kappei thought she was.  Instead she focused on getting rid of it as fast as she could, biting off a potion, eating it as fast as she could before dealing with the rest.  She had not been hungry, but not full either, she would refuse any additional food after this, but she would eat this quickly, just to get rid of it, distract her from the annoying character for a moment too.

Kappei saw Ranna take a bite of the sausage and start eating it. Her reaction had not been any worse than her reactions to other things that displeased her, so Kappei considered the matter settled. If she wanted to give him an earful after the play was over, he would, of course, listen to her.

The play continued in the same vein it had started, with the heroine leading people on and wrapping them around her finger. She became more and more full of herself, and what she constituted as a boyfriend or girlfriend material became increasingly more demanding as time went on.

Not only should they be smart, but they should also love her, understand her, be strong, be successful, have power and money, and have a giant cock. Of course, these were just the essentials.

Among all the people she had friendzoned, she had people that she had never even given a chance to. These had become something close to servants. As it were, one of them was a tall, lanky boy that she knew liked her. But aside from being tall, he didn't have anything going for him. Sure, he was her childhood friend, and he had loved her even before she became popular. But so what?

So one day, on a whim, she decided to just wield some of that power she had. Practically ordering one of her homely female followers to start dating her childhood friend and have sex with him.

The scene changed, and it focused on a thin, large white sheet. Behind it, the distinct silhouettes of a man and woman could be seen. The guy however had what looked like a fifteen-inch-long cock as thick as an arm. Of course, in reality, it was probably a big strap-on, but the white sheet made it look like it was a real penis.

The girl was bent over, and the scene was shown from the side as the homely girl was screwed from behind. The heroine was standing outside of the sheet, a shocked look on her face.

"And thus the Cocktease saw the Horsecock and it was glorious. But it was not for her, because she had squandered it." The narrator spoke in a loud voice as the couple behind the white sheet continued to simulate sex. They were the only ones moving. The heroine had theatrically fallen to her knees, and the lights that had focused on her slowly dimmed until the audience could only see the silhouettes behind the sheet.

"Rich, successful, strong, and tall. The Horsecock had always been there for her and even looked handsome after he got some better clothes and cut his hair. We all want to find just the perfect partner, but just like with the Cocktease, we'll end up losing what we want if we aren't willing to give as much as we get." And with those final words, the curtains closed and the play ended. The audience started applauding, and some even cheered. The play might have been a bit strange, but you could still appreciate the performances of all the actors and actresses.

‘We all just want to find the perfect partner?’  I’d they realize the audience they were speaking too?  Most people here did not even have a partner.  Those that got married often did as a sham too, but for reasons other than the sham she was being dragged into.  Usually for wealth or power, especially with the elite families.

It was less sexual than expected, hard to say if the sheet was only there to hide a likely prop.  It was not the ending she expected either, from a girl who seemed more likely to be a hero in a place like this.  She was not as excited as the audience, only doing the bare minimum cheering, a light unenthusiastic clap.  She was somewhat glad it was over, but not looking forward to what came next.

As the cheers and applauds continued, the curtains rose again and all the actors and actresses appeared on stage and took a bow. The audience clapped even harder and continued raining applauds on the Drama-Club until the curtains finally closed again. The show was over.

"I guess she was her own worst enemy." Kappei told Ranna as he finished the final chicken club in his bucket. The sausages were all gone so they didn't have any snacks left now.

"Are you ready to leave?" He asked Ranna, both of them still in their seats. People were leaving, but it didn't mean that they had to leap out of their seats and rush out of the theater. All in all it had been a rather short play, little over an hour long so they should still have some time before the Velvet Oasis opened again.

That was a good question.  The question was what would happen if they dd not leave right away?  Was the plan to just sit here for a while, that would be awkward too.  It was true there was something strange about the place.  She had not been a fan of the specific play, but there was something strange.  Almost nostalgic and welcoming about the club, in a way she could not figure out.  Something she longed for that she did not understand.  It was not a desire to be an actress, or anything like that, at least she did not think so.  She did not know anyone in the club, though there was something vaguely strangely familiar about the lead actress.  Again, she could not figure out why though.  "I'm fine leaving."  There was a little bit of confusion in her tone and voice.  She was not expecting these feelings to be figured out by hanging around here, if anything she got the sense staying would only make them more intense.

Kappei nodded and offered Ranna his hand. Allowing her to leave her seat, he started walking her out of the theater, following the throng and not acting as if they were in a hurry to leave. Once outside, he strolled along the street, not toward the store they were going to visit but in the opposite direction. Just taking a short detour like this should allow them to spend enough time for the boutique to open again.

"What did you think of the play? You said something about the heroine spreading her legs for a horse?" Kappei said, bringing up the remark Ranna had made during the play. She really was just a brat, and she needed to learn some manners, but at least she had not made more of a scene in the theater.

"...You heard the title."  Ranna explained, shortly simply.  She honestly would not even rule out that sort of thing actually happened here.  Though if it did it was probably much more discrete and less universal.  Were the girls on the horseback riding team that perverted?  She would not have been surprised if others thought that as well.  The best she could say was the ending was a surprise, and she did not really feel sorry for the main character.  "You think that strange to think in a place like this?"  She had no idea if that sort of thing happened for real here, but it seemed much more likely in a play and it certainly would not have surprised her.

Kappei glanced at Ranna, finding her particularly cute right now. Here she was, a petite little girl trying to rationalize why it wasn't weird imagining that the Drama Club would put up a show where they had sex with an actual horse.

"If you think like that, I guess you're to scared to try to learn how to ride then?" Kappei questioned, only being half serious. He had learned how to ride himself, and it was a pretty useful skill to have.

Ranna did not think she was rationalizing anything.  She was asked why she thought the character on stage deserved that, and why it did not seem completely impossible.  “There’s no reason for that to scare me, unless you are admitting that actually happens here, and trying to get me to do it.”  She would not call herself an expert by any means but she had done that sort of thing a few times, she did not have a reason to worry about animals like that.  She would only be nervous around an animal if it was poisonous or a large predator.

There were different breeds of horses, of course. A tiny girl like Ranna would look small even on a pony, and the horses of the academy were not ponies. In a rural place like the town Ranna had lived in there might not have been any way for her to go riding, but it was of course possible that she might have done so as a young child, long before she was even cursed.

Having become friends with Reiko, he had become familiar with her lamenting that there had been no stables in the town where she had lived. Especially since one of her dreams when she was younger, had been to go riding with her little sister.

"No, nothing like that. I guess you can say they do some horsing around?" If a girl tried getting fucked by a horse, she'd likely die. But masturbating their horses and sucking them off? He hadn't heard about anything like that, but he wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

"Besides, what kind of a man do you take for anyway?" He chuckled, the whole subject a bit ridiculous in his opinion. Here they were going to go order their wedding rings, and Ranna was talking about Horsecock and asking him if he was planning to get a horse to have sex with her? "We are going to get engaged and then married. Even if it is just a fake marriage, do I really look like a guy that would want my significant other to get speared by somebody else?"

He blinked, realizing that what he had said sounded as if he wanted to 'spear her' himself. "No, I mean. I said I was going to protect you. Why would I want something horrible like that to happen to you?"

Ranna had not seriously thinking he planned to do anything like to her.  She was less certain about what other people did though, especially perverts of this school.  You get magic involved, and it did not seem completely impossible.  “Just telling you the only reason I would have to be ‘scared’ of it.”  It had been more of a test to see what he said about others doing it.  She had no idea if there were limits on that sort of thing, any rules beyond the two drilled in during these protection days, about respecting sexuality and no incest between siblings.  Not that she had ever thought of Reiko like that.  She at least mostly trusted Kappei that he would not pressure her into sex, as much as she hated this whole idea, he could at least be thankful of that.

Kappei was glad that Ranna hadn't given him hell because of what he had accidentally said. All he had been trying to say was that he wasn't some kind of deviant that got off on watching other guys have their way with the woman he was with. But it seemed either she hadn't noticed, or that she had understood what he had meant.

Holding Ranna's hand, Kappei strolled around the Recreation Zone with her, giving off the vibe of being a couple out on a date. The passed some places Ranna had already seen, bit also some she had not. Taking a few corners and doing a couple of turns, they soon found themselves again in front of the boutique where they were going to get their wedding rings. It was open.

"Let's choose those rings." Kappei announced the n an encouraging voice as he pushed the door open. He knew Ranna wasn't looking forward to this, but he figured that maybe some of his cheerfulness could rub off on her.

The store looked the same as before, with the same nice saleslady sitting at the counter.

Ranna was still trying to ignore the impression they gave off together.  At least this way Kappei could not complain too much.  As long as he did not get them into an awkwardly sexual circumstance, it should be fine.  Most of the time.  This moment and certainly the wedding were two moments she was going to have a much harder time pretending she was okay with it.  It was a little awkward just to be back in here at all.  Worse for the reason they actually were here this time, she tried to ignore everything around her, forget why she was here.  Ignore the other woman, even if she was preferable to the woman back at the apartments.  She partially zoned out, letting Kappei do the interactions.

Walking up to the counter with Ranna, Kappei greeted the woman with a nod. Weddings rings were pretty powerful magical objects and wasn't something that was just lying around in the open.

"We'd like to look at your wedding rings and order them." He told her, feeling a bit awkward about it himself. He might not have the same problems Ranna had with this, but it hadn't come as natural to him as he had wished. Even if it was just a fake wedding, he still felt bashful for some reason.

"Please take a seat. I will be with you in a moment." The saleswoman told them. She had liked Ranna and her sister. They had acted more like kids their age should. Getting married at such a young age was not unheard of nowadays. After the great cataclysm, what had followed had reshaped the world. Marriage which had once been an institution, had started serving a different purpose. Getting married was done to announce a union or to create alliances. During the great upheaval that had followed after the cataclysm, age had not been relevant. Since it was a question of union, an adult could technically 'marry' a newborn. The saleslady was more of a romantic though and had read about marriages of old. Marriage should be done out of love.

However, watching the young man and the even younger girl, what she saw didn't put a damper on her spirits. The man looked a bit embarrassed, and the girl looked more a a little awkward and shy about the whole thing.

Fetching the book and a small intricate box, the lady smiled as she joined the couple again.

The store was fairly small, but it still had a corner dedicated to a small sofa where customers could wait.

Sitting next to Ranna, Kappei accepted the book that was handed to him and opened it. Inside were a compendium of various designs and functions they could choose and combine. Kappei place the large book on both their laps so that Ranna also could page through it.

"Please hold these in your left hand. Don't let go until it starts shining." The woman told them, having opened the small intricate box she had brought and handed them each a black twin pearl. The pearls were a tool created to measure wavelengths.

This again?  Ranna was not too surprised though, with the whole need to look through another book, decide on designs.  It did make sense, either that or looking at a selection of existing rings.  It did not look like that would be the case here.  She was more focused on the pearl though.  Not fully understanding the point of it she held it as instructed.  Waited, wondering how long it would take to glow and what it meant.  She only paid a little attention to the book, it was hard to be that excited or interested in something like this.  Sure she did not want something ugly, realized she would be stuck with it for a long time, but it was hard to care the way she would if she had wanted to get married.  The pearl was much more appealing in that sense, seeing where it would go, exactly what the woman wanted from them and how she would react to when it did glow.

"I will leave you two alone then. Please come up to the counter when you have decided on design and what to get or if you have any questions." The woman said with a warm smile and left.

Watching the woman leave, Kappei turned towards the book again. The main importance of a wedding ring was its ability to protect and keep your spouse safe. So it was of the essence to choose a design that allowed for the abilities you wanted to fit. Whether it was beautiful or not was important too, of course, but he figured he'd leave Ranna with the final say on that.

"We should choose something with spirals and an intricate design. I am thinking of splurging and going for the top-of-the-line shield." What he was saying might have been completely alien to Ranna unless she had ever looked into what a wedding ring was. The top-of-the-line shield he was talking about was a new magic technology that had just recently been made available on the market. It was a one-time magical shield that could defend against both physical and magical attacks. These types of shields had existed before, of course, but this one was better because the other magical shields just defended against either magic or physical attacks.

Naturally, the shield wasn't some sort of legendary thing. It had a limit and could only defend against medium or light attacks. It also drained very quickly and would also last for so long. As with all magical shields, it was useless against curses. But overall, it was a fantastic thing to have because it would activate on its own and protect the owner even if they were attacked from behind.

Ranna’s curiosity was still focused on the pearl.  She was sort of listening to Kappei, but really had no idea what he was talking about, and the context of what it was made her less interested than she otherwise might be.  It was a convenient distraction, but one she also had a little genuine interest in.  She occasionally glanced at the book while he was talking, before looking at the other hand.  “You know more about this than I do.”  There was no point on arguing about something she did not understand much and it was too late to argue about the ring itself.

"Yes, I looked up a lot of things these past few days. I want to do everything I can to protect you." He admitted. Of course, he had some prior knowledge about the weaponization of magic but he didn't really think that was relevant.

"The rings need a lot of small diamonds, of course, and some larger gems as well." He explained, pointing at some examples in the book. Ranna was probably bored though. But that was only to be expected, she was a girl after all.

"Which designs and gems do you like?" He asked her, wanting to hear what she had to say. She was going to wear this thing after all, so she probably wanted something she would like.

That just felt a little weird to hear, fake marriage or not, friend of Reiko or not.  Ranna tried not to dwell on it too much, hoping it was not a sign of this becoming more than it was supposed to be.

Wearing jewelry that elaborate just felt a little weird too.  She was certainly not from a family that could afford to indulge much in that.  Sure, there was her parents’ wedding rings, but they did not wear much else, Reiko’s jewelry had been cheaper stuff as well.  It was not something she had really thought much, and would prefer not to give an answer that made it sound like she wanted it more than she did.  “I don’t know, a row of small ones across the band, maybe.”  She threw something random out there, not really knowing exactly what she would really like.

Kappei nodded, he had been upfront about it and told her from the start that he would protect her. "Then maybe the ring can be made out of white gold and--"

"No, you want red gold for this." A clear voice interrupted Kappei. He looked up from the book and found a girl that looked to be around Ranna's age, staring down at them. Long silky black hair, she had yellowish eyes and almost porcelain white skin. Ranna immediately should recognize her as Kara Spade, the member of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Club that she was supposed to go shopping with before the welcome party.
