"No clue, but I guess that we'll find out, now won't we?"

Linus looks over to Aelius with a devious grin, his eyes shining gently as he began to pull out of the driveway. He neglects to turn on the radio, and he probably wouldn't have anyway with how distasteful he found most music. He sighs softly and watches the road, the yellow, interrupted lines disappearing past the side of the car as they traveled into town. For some reason, he knew that he was going to enjoy himself, and he knew that the night would be very, very eventful.

As he pulled into the parking lot of a random night club, his eyes wondered across the many people going in and out of the building. He parks the car and cuts the engine, opening the door and watching the flowing crowd with a smile. People went in fine, and came out completely wasted. Depending on the amount of people in there, they would most likely be able to nab a few people with their charms before leaving.

"You didn't forget how to work your hypnosis, did you?"

Linus looked at Aelius with a smug smile, as in their younger years as Hagorath, both of them had had that happen to them at least once or twice. He was sure that they had mastered it, but there was always room for error

Location: Random night club

A smile briefly flickered across Aelius’ lips at Linus’ answer. Linus, always the free spirit and the adventurer not caring about the unknowns that lay before them. Aelius had lost count of the number of times that, that particular trait of his lover had landed them in trouble. However he never got angry at Linus, because it always turned out to be so fun. Whenever Aelius would look back at those situations, it would always bring a chuckle from him. His golden eyes stared out of the window, watching as the world passed them by as they sat in companionable silence. Aelius never felt the need to fill the air with meaningless chatter, especially with Linus. They had known each other for far too long for silences like this to be awkward. It also gave Aelius time to think, ponder and fully wake up from their slumber.

As they passed through the city centre, Aelius could see people stumbling around, completely drunk off of their faces. He saw police officers every now and again, alert for any drunken trouble makers that would cause a disturbance. When the car was pulled in to a stop, and the engine turned off, Aelius unclipped the seatbelt as he was able to hear the distant thudding music and the sounds and laughter of drunken people. He turned his eyes to Linus as he asked his cheeky question, causing him to snort and shake his head,

“Devious little devil. That’s what you are, my love. Of course I remember.” Aelius said, opening the car door and climbing out into the brisk, cold air. He came around the car, his boots crunching on the icy ground as he reunited with his lover. A drunken group of people stumbled by, singing very loudly and very badly. Aelius winced a little, “I see nothing has changed about the drunken melody.” He commented before he lead the way to the entrance of the club. There was a tall, heavily built man with muscled arms as thick as their heads. As Aelius approached, the bouncer looked down at him with a calculating gaze. The Hagorath simply smiled at him, locking his eyes with the human, saying, “You’ll let us inside, won’t you?” The bouncer, his eyes suddenly glazing over, gave a mute nod and opened the door for them, allowing Aelius and his lover to slip inside. The blonde looked at his partner in crime and said, “See.”

Whether or not Alez would be able to 'reason' with Mr Enron or not remained to be seen. What the girl did not seem to know yet is that, while mortals may have reason, they are not required to use it nor does having it guarantee good and pleasant results. Well, she will learn one way or another. Anyway, as they walked towards the meeting point, things took a serious turn. Their surroundings worsened, no longer were the buildings that existed new and clean and no longer were the people dressed immaculately and looked like they had something on. The ambience was also different, it didn't feel like there was much hope here and it certainly didn't feel as upbeat and new here. An oppressive atmosphere was here, one of despair and desperation. Certainly, the buildings were old and run-down and the people were not full of hope. Yes, this was not exactly a pleasant place to be at the best of times but to live here...

"Well, yes they do." Samantha told Alez. "There is nowhere else for them to go, really."

"That's just awful..." Alez spoke, partially under her breath. She still didn't quite understand why it had to be this way, but she did know part of the reason was people like this Mr. Enron taking advantage of their desperation. Maybe if she put a stop to this, she would be able to touch the lives of many people and restore hope to this part of the city?

As the two girls continued to walk, Alez began to run her fingers through her hair, avoiding eye contact with any passersby. She couldn't explain this either, but she didn't exactly get a pleasant feeling from their presence. So many people felt hostile and intimidating. This place seemed like the perfect breeding grounds for demons as well with how much negativity she could feel in the air. Demons seemed to thrive around that sort of thing. She would have to stay wary for far more than just other humans. She reached down and gripped Samantha's hand softly. "Stay close to me. I can get us both away if we happen to run into any trouble here."

The two continued to walk for what seemed to be a while through the treacherous slums of the city. "How much farther away is this meet up point? Surely we should be close by now, right?" Alez had taken for granted her ability of flight, it seemed. Walking in this physical form for such a long time felt particularly exhausting to her. But the longer she spent here, the more accustomed to this human-shape form she would become and the easier walking would feel. Perhaps it was a good thing that it was taking so long for them to reach the man in question, as she wasn't quite sure how she should even go about handling this situation. However, she kept a straight face so that her little friend wouldn't be too concerned.

Linus smiles as Aelius displays his ability to hypnotize by working it on the bouncer and granting themselves free access to the night club, much to the other members' dismay. They all groaned gently and soon began to complain because of the long wait. Linus looks at one of them and winks, only adding to that particular person's annoyance. He found if funny when others got annoyed at his actions, especially when they mean simply nothing.

Inside the club, the walls were adorned with lights and signs, strippers dancing on metallic poles while they were covered in glitter and began to show their own extremities for the sake of the audience watching him. Linus often wondered what brought males and females to do things like this. Was it because they enjoyed it? Did they need money? Whatever the case, he still found their actions fascinating nonetheless. Lights spewed from the roof and the walls, adorning the entire area in a seizure inducing display.

The loud music that came from multiple speakers pumped through the room and into his ears, some of the normal shit that one would hear in such a club. He sighs and shakes his head, licking his lips as he looks over the many potential victims walking around the large, crowded area. He first makes his way to the bar, pulling Aelius with him and sitting at one of the stools.

Samantha could understand why Alez was avoiding eye contact with the people here, she did the same thing when she first wound up here. The people around here were guarded and more unfriendly when around people they didn't know or didn't like. People around here got burnt pretty bad by life and given that they didn't easily trust or let people in. Samantha herself still hadn't reached that stage yet but she guessed that it wouldn't take her long nowadays. As they walked further into the slum area,  Samantha felt Alez grip her hand softly. Now, whether it was because Alez was nervous or because she wanted to reach out to Sam, she didn't know. Maybe Alez was just a bit nervous in this place, not being familiar with poor areas like this. Perhaps she had never been to areas like this wherever she was from. That was likely but that made Samantha wonder where exactly Alez came from. Though the answer to that question wouldn't matter to her that much if she didn't get Mr Enron off her back. Just thinking about him made her skin crawl and it showed on her face. Obviously, she really didn't like him at all and neither did most of the people here who had dealt with Mr Enron at one point or another. Samantha looked around to see if it was much further to go to get to the place, as it seemed her companion was getting a bit tired.

"Not much more to go, just a bit further up the...there it is." Samantha said to Alez, when she spotted the small building where Mr Enron did his business. It stood out as it looked nicer than the surrounding buildings, everything looked clean and neat. Probably because the guy had more funds to keep up appearances. Anyway, this storefront was where Mr Enron did his business acting as a 'personal loan specialist' though that was just a euphemism for 'loanshark'. As they approached, they could see the windows and doors were secured against forced entry, being reinforced and such. As they got closer, they could see a security guard out front probably there to protect Mr Enron and prevent people entering that didn't have business here.

Alez stopped and looked up at the large building in front of her. It did look quite beautiful on its own, but it pulled at her heart to know the sacrifices it must have taken to maintain such an appearance. As the two approached the building, she began to notice that it seemd quite heavily guarded. Perhaps this man feared the retalliation of the people he's scammed over the years? She had half the mind to switch into her ethereal form and slide right through the wall undetected, but she didn't think her powers were particularly necessary here. It was probably for the best that Samantha continued to think she was just a human for the time being. She took a deep breath before walking toward the security guard standing at the door. She bowed her head to him. "Hello, I would like to speak to Mr. Enron." She spoke in a professional yet friendly tone. She could only hope that she would be met with an equally friendly response, but she braced herself for another reaction similar to Samantha's.

Aelius allowed himself to be pulled along by his lover, his slit eyes of gold observing everyone around them. He was as curious to this behaviour as Linus was. Everything was so different back in the day, especially from when they were originally born. It would have been a scandal and a public nuisance to act the way these people were acting. This was usually something that was done in absolute private. And yet, in this time it was completely normal. As they slipped through the crowd, Aelius’ eyes caught the gaze of many, and each time he would give a seductive smile. Most of them would flush, and gaze back in wanton desire. That was something that definitely had not changed over the years.

He slipped into a stool next to Linus, turning his gaze to the handsome Hagorath next to him. He wasn’t sure if his voice would be heard over the sound of the music which thudded through the air with such a bass that it caused his chest to rattle. It was a pleasant feeling that he rather enjoyed. Movement caught the corner of his eye and he looked towards the bartender. He gave the man a smile, before holding up his hand with his index and middle fingers extended before he pointed to a bottle of vodka. The man nodded, giving Aelius a slight smirk back before he turned and fixed up two shots of vodka which he then placed down on the bar table. When Aelius reached into his pocket for some money, the bartender shook his head and mouthed ‘It’s on me!’ before he grinned and moved off. Aelius snorted and picked up one of the shot glasses and handed it to Linus, “I’ve still got it.” He said, trying to make his voice heard. Once his lover took his drink, Aelius picked up his own before he then gave Linus a toast before he turned the liquid. While neither he nor Linus were likely to get drunk, the fact that they were drinking would help people feel more relaxed around them as they would seem to be as drunk as others. He then looked out across the crowd, trying to see if there was anyone that stood out and grabbed his interest.

Linus smiles towards Aelius as he scores the two beings free drinks. He takes a small swig of his before setting it down and looking around to see if he can catch the eyes of any young, fair males or females. His dark, lapis lazuli eyes scan over the crowd, often lingering on a select few near the middle of the room. He stands and chuckles softly as he feels the deep, rumbling base thudding his chest as well. He sighs softly in satisfaction at the feeling before beginning to walk through the crowd, which seems to part before him as they look up at the tall being with jealousy, desire, and longing. He smiles as he can sense the many different feelings being directed towards him.

He turns and looks to Aelius, his eyes shimmering softly as he lifts a finger and beckons his partner towards him to join him to the dance floor. As the loud, deafening music blasts through the air, vibrating anything that dare walk into the building, Linus looks towards one of the strippers that had just stepped onto the stage, connecting eyes with her. Her eyes gloss over as he lifts his finger and curls it towards her, summoning her forth.

"Samantha, you bring a friend along with you?" the security guard ask Samantha with a raised eyebrow. "Not that I mind but I don't think Mr Enron knows and you know how he can be sometimes about things he don't know."

The guard was hinting that this Mr Enron character did not like surprises and for obvious reasons. Why else would he be in need for a security setup like this if he didn't expect some sort of trouble. Samantha looked at the guard and told him. "Yeah, she's got business with Mr Enron too. Unofficial 'off-the'books business." Samantha replied to the guard. The guard looked a bit surprised, looking at Alez and then at Samantha and then he wore a thoughtful expression for a minute before replying. "Oh, right. I see. So, I'm assuming she's helping you with him. Didn't think you'd go that way to be honest but then again, I didn't think I'd get into this business." the security guard said he turned to swipe his security card in the access machine that controlled the lock on the door. The door unlocked with a *beep* and then a long clunk before the guard opened the door for the two ladies. "Well, come on in."

Samantha wanted to tell the guard off for suggesting what he was but she wasn't really in a position to start a scene. After the two of them went through the door, they found themselves in a reception area, like one would find in an office building. As they went to the reception desk to tell the receptionist that Sam was here to see Mr Enron, Samantha almost did  not notice that there was someone else sitting rather quietly in the room. If it wasn't for the fact she was nervous and looking around for an exit, she wouldn't have looked that way. She couldn't tell who was sitting there, whether they were male or female, as they wore a wide brimmed hat that had a veil along the edges that covered this persons' face. Though the area was well lit, she couldn't quite see through the veil, which seems thicker than it seemed. Looking at them, she could see that they wore a blue and white Chinese style 'hanfu' that was largely worn by males back in the Dynasty Eras, like those in those Chinese period drama worn by travelling swordspeople.

Lydia froze when Luck asked him that question, and she could feel her cheeks going hot as she blushed furiously. Trying to buy a little time, she continued loading everything into the dish washer before she closed it up and set it off. The task allowed her time to gather herself, and she turned around and gave him a small smile,

“Slip of the tongue. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. I don’t know why I did that. I was hoping that you didn’t notice but, clearly you did.” She said, feeling very nervous all of a sudden. She was worried that she had frightened him, and she wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to allow herself to fall for someone she had only just met. Not to mention after all of what she had heard, as well as what she had seen that had scared her witless. Was she crazy? Perhaps so. But then her mother had always told her that the heart was a fickle thing and she really had no choice over what her heart would decide, even if that person wasn’t good for her. But that wasn’t the only thing playing on her mind. Why would anyone, especially one that seemed to be as strange and as powerful as Luck, even be remotely interested in her? She had been living her life, quite contently as a University professor. Compared to most people, she was quite boring in her habits and her hobbies. Her idea of spending a fun afternoon was digging about in dirt looking for ruins, or going through pages of records for a small scrap of information. Not something that everyone would enjoy. And she highly doubted that someone like Luck would enjoy it. He would no doubt be interested in much more exciting things.

Location: Lydia’s home
Time: 10:20 PM (22:20)

Luck became a bit surprised to see Lydia acting so nervous all of the sudden but deep down he knew what she was going through and a smile appear on his face as he watches this little girl becoming nervous around him. It was rather cute of Lydia to behave like this in front of him and exposing her true nature while hiding behind that facade persona that she built to fight against life's morale. Almost like they do when we fight against those Shadows back in his home world and seeing Lydia like this made him reach for her hand to ease her up or try to not make it worse from this. His finger began touching her soft hand before wrapping around her nicely and caring while looking at smiling softly at her since she was vulnerable at the moment.

"It's fine Lydia, why don't we take you to your bed and we can...." Luck pause, blushing slightly, "talk more there if you like, in private." He finishes.

Despite him knowing little about her, he really likes her since she went a lot for him despite her knowing about his power that could destroy this place and yet put her trust on him which was a strong bond that got his attention. Luck could feel a bit of fear coming from her, not fear from his power but something else blocking her line of thinking which could pose a problem with their relationship which he had hope it could grow. After all, Luck was a very loyal young man and once he has his eyes on a girl he likes to spend his future with, he will do it without any regrets.

Looking at them, she could see that they wore a blue and white Chinese style 'hanfu' that was largely worn by males back in the Dynasty Eras, like those in those Chinese period drama worn by travelling swordspeople.

Alez was a little surprised that the guard seemed to completely ignore her and speak instead to Samantha. It made sense, since Samantha was the one with the trouble in the first place, but it still seemed rather rude to completely ignore her request. Although, perhaps it was rude for her to assert herself like this in the first place. She humbled herself and took a step back as the two began to discuss the situation, holding her hands together over her legs and instead patiently waiting and trusting Sam to handle the issue as necessary. But something about the way the security guard commented 'Didn't think you'd go that way' bothered her. What was 'that way,' getting help? Was something as simple as asking for help really so frowned upon here?

As the door unlocked and opened, Alez was a little nervous to follow Samantha inside. She wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the room inside was actually quite pleasant with cushioned seats against the wall and everything. If this part of town really was as bad as Sam had been hinting, she could see why Mr. Enron would feel the need to keep this building secured. As she looked around the room, she noticed the strange, oddly-dressed figure sitting in one of the seats. Even among humans, this one seemed dressed particularly oddly to her, and it seemed to be shrouding itself in mystery as, like Sam, she couldn't quite pick up on any identifiable features. She didn't even have much of a guess as to whether it was a boy or girl. Despite her curiosity in the figure, she didn't bother the person because she knew she had to focus on the task at hand, but she still kept an eye on the figure as Sam began to speak with the receptionist. She still had to remain wary. As a celestial, she could be attacked by demons at any moment.

The receptionist looked up to see both Samantha and Alez and smiled politely. "Mr Enron will see you both shortly, though if I could ask for your name, Miss?" It looked like the receptionist wanted to know who Alez was, probably as a security precaution so they could have a written record of who was in and out. Of course, it was probably the case that there was CCTV cameras on the premises as well so that they would have recordings of what occurred inside and out. Whoever this Mr Enron was, it seemed that he was rather paranoid or at the very least security conscious. "Sorry for this formality but Mr Enron was only expecting Samantha here today. He doesn't like much surprises though I'm sure he will see you as well if you are helping with Samantha's case."

It looked like Alez would have to give the receptionist her name and perhaps some identification of some sort to get by here.

Alez was somewhat startled as she was spoken to. "O-oh!" She quickly shifted her attention from the stranger sitting in the seat and back to the receptionist. She bowed politely. "My name is Alez," she decided it would probably be best not to mention her 'origins,' unless asked. In a place with such tight security, lying about where she was from would certainly be suspicious. "I am only here to help my friend here with her problems and to speak with Mr. Enron." She had a certain glow to her that made her seem almost like an innocent child, and she wasn't carrying any sort of weapon with the exception of the blade that would be called to her hand if the need arose, but she figured it would be unlikely for the situation to get so out of control.

Turning her attention back to the receptionist did make her a little nervous, and she continued to glance over at the stranger in the seat. Something about that figure just didn't sit well with her, but she shrugged it off. With any luck, she and Samantha would be through those doors and speaking with Mr. Enron themselves without much hassle.

"Ah, I see." the receptionist replied as she typed Alez' name on the computer for later records. It was then that the receptionist told them that Mr Enron would see them now. It seemed that her boss had given them the okay and that no suspicions had come about. "Samantha and Alez, Mr Enron will see you now. If you would enter his office to my left, you can talk to him there."

It was then that the receptionist returned to her business of doing what receptionists do. Samantha turned to Alez nervously and said, "I guess it's showtime." Samantha went went on ahead and walked to the door and opened it for Alez so that they both could go in and enter it. Inside the nicely decorated office was Mr Enron and two security guards. There was nothing strange about the security guards but Mr Enron...there was a strange inhuman aura around him. Something was definitely up here, as the guards looked a bit nervous. Perhaps they were new or they knew something that the other ones didn't about Mr Enron.

"Well well, what do we have here?" Mr Enron with a posh sounding voice. "Samantha and a Miss Alez, I see? Well, come in. Just be sure to close the door behind you."

Mr Enron looked like an older, short stature, gentleman wearing a greenish coloured business suit and had neatly combed over grey hair. His amber eyes looked rather sharp though and like the kind that could pick out people easily even from a distance despite his bushy eyebrows.

Alez couldn't help but feel nervous as she watched the receptionist type away at her computer. She was worried that the woman would be trying to look up information on her and find that she had no records. Thankfully, after a few tantalizing moments, the woman spoke up and insisted that Mr. Enron would see the two of them. Relieved, the young celestial headed toward the door and stepped through as Samantha opened the door for her. The moment she stepped in, she certainly felt an almost otherwordly presence emnating from the business man whose amber eyes seemed to be staring daggers into her. Just standing in his presence sent chills down her back. There was something suspicious about this 'man,' and it went beyond just shady business practices. Perhaps there was more reason for her to get involved after all...

Once again, Alez bowed respectfully toward the man at the desk as he addressed the two girls. She entrusted closing the door to Sam behind her. "Hello, Mr. Enron," she spoke with the same professional courtesy she had given the receptionist. "I wanted to come here to discuss my friend's situation. Before we begin, I must stress that this is entirely my idea that was more or less forced upon her, so I shall bear any and all responsibility of any potential consequences." It was a dangerous thing for her to say as a Celestial was bound to her word. However, she wouldn't feel right leaving Samantha as a scapegoat for her to avoid the consequences of her own careless mistakes.

"It would seem to me that her debt has begun to spiral out of control, to the point where she has begun to grow distant from the world around her. She seems incredibly stressed and quite possibly has been considering resorting to sinful behavior just to repay her debt. I would like to respectfully request that you please have some patience with her, as she is truly doing the best she can to repay you. Perhaps you could reduce the interest rate on your loan service? Even a small fraction would be most appreciated." Despite her nerves, she spoke in a calm and collected tone. Perhaps it was through Caelisia's guidance that she was capable of speaking so thoroughly when it mattered, but she felt proud of herself all the same. Still, she wasn't naive enough to assume that this discussion would be over so easily. This man was corrupt, and far beyond the point of a typical human. He had secrets, terrible secrets that she would never be able to coax from him without a fight, but it was clear his business served a much grander and more sinister purpose than just lining his pockets with gold.

Location: Small Strip Club In Central Blackberry Falls/Small Bank

Shuya steps out of the strip club that he worked in, taking a deep breath of the cool air of the night. Something felt off about some things, but he just shrugged it off. Many strange things seemed to be happening lately, like the almost demonic feeling around the old Hotel the other night. He slips his custom headphones over his head, connecting it to his phone and playing an old favorite of his, Pheonix.

He only makes it a few steps to the right of him before the rather loud and annoying blare of police sirens approaching and watches silently as a series of six police cars pass him. That caught his attention rather quickly. He'd never seen that many heading to one place before, but he'd heard of it happening in some extreme cases.

A small smile forms on the corners of his lips, and he takes off, just barely keeping up with the police cars as they speed on. He stops with them as they reach a bank, where about six other police cars are already stationed. He takes off his headphones, letting them rest on the back of his neck as he listens to the police talking on the scanner. He picks up something about a robbery, and sure enough, about four gunshots ring out through the night

"Holy fuck..."

Location: Random night club

Aelius watched, a little amused, as Linus slipped from the stool with his usual supernatural grace before moving through the crowd which unconsciously parted before him as if aware of his power, and how dangerous he was, and not wanting to get in his way least he turn that power back onto them. He slid off the stool himself, following the footsteps of his lower so that he stood next to him. He then followed Linus’ gaze to see what had captured his interest, only to see a beautiful stripper who was caught completely under his lovers spell. Aelius watched in amusement as the stripper obeyed her silent commands, and came forwards towards Linus, her eyes glazed over with a hint of lustful want. Her breathing was even, and shallow as if she was in a state of sleep. She stood silently, staring into Linus’ eyes as she waited for an order to which she could obey.

Aelius felt eyes on him, and he turned his head slightly to the side to look slightly behind him where he could see the bartender from earlier staring at him. Aelius could see in from his gaze, that even without hypnosis, the handsome young man was captivated by Aelius. The Hagorath smiled slightly, giving the bartender a casual wink which made the man blush furiously and almost drop the drink that he was attempting to serve to a customer. It seemed Aelius had found his meal for the night. A sweet young man willing to throw himself at Aelius’ feet. He turned back to Linus, his golden eyes glinting in the lights of the club as people continued to dance around them to the thudding music.

The poor woman shudders slightly before giving q soft moan, seemingly enjoying the feeling of his soft lips and teeth on her fair skin. He was more than positive that Aelius would choose the bartender, who seemed to be oggling the smaller Hagorath more than anyone else was.

Of course, Samantha herself would not be able to detect anything out of the ordinary, being a human and all. The man's stare was intense and indeed rather creepy but that's how he usually was with 'clients', those that he had gotten reliant on his money. As Alez did her best to communicate her desire to help Sam, Mr Enron did not look impressed. Actually, he seemed rather disinterested in what Alez was SAYING. While his eyes stayed focused on the both of them, his mind was going other places. For him, he had heard many a sob story of people not managing their money properly...and they came to him for help and he would do so for a modest fee...in his opinion. Of course, he liked return customers and so he made his contracts rather unique in that they were rather hard to understand. Though all the information was in the contract, it would not be easy to extract much from it unless one was really patient or familiar with such agreements.

"Yes yes, I see." Mr Enron replied in a rather disinterested manner. "That may be all well and good...but what are you offering me in return? I'm afraid she owes me quite a bit and the contract she made with me lay out the terms rather clearly."

Now he was being rather disingenuous with that remark as his contracts were known to rely on being ambiguous in meaning and hard to interpret. While the terms seems decent from initial chance, on rather close inspection, it turns out to be a rather nasty trap.

"Now that's bulls-..." Samantha exclaimed before stopping herself. She didn't want to get into more trouble than she was in.

"Oh now now, Samantha." Mr Enron said slyly. "You're not in the position to judge me. After all, I did get those loan sharks off your back when YOUR deadbeat boyfriend left YOU with HIS debt. Wasn't that helpful?"

Yes, it was the case that Samantha was left with an ugly debt that her ex-boyfriend left her with to handle as he seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. What Sam did not know however was that Mr Enron was more involved with her than appearances dictated.

Location: Lydia’s home

Location: Lydia’s home
Time: 22:21

Lydia felt her mouth go dry when he suggested that they go up to the bedroom to talk more in private. Her stomach fluttered in nervousness, her gut twisting itself into a knot. She was glad that she had, had some shots of vodka, as she would no doubt be even more nervous if she hadn’t. She swallowed several times, trying to wet her mouth before she let out a shaky breath, “I… I guess we could.” She said in a soft voice, surprising herself with even accepting the invitation. But then his hand felt so good wrapped around hers. His flesh was warm against hers, in a comforting sense and his grip felt secure. It made her wonder if she would feel like that when wrapped in his arms and felt her cheeks heat up at the thought. She stole a glance at him before gulping again before saying, “W-well, my bedroom is upstairs…” She said softly.

Using the fact that he was holding onto her hand, she lead him out of the kitchen and back into the hallway and towards the set of stairs by the dining room which she started to ascend. The stairs curved in on themselves as they went up to the landing. On the right side of the hallway, there were two doors that were closed, hiding the contents from view. At the far end of the hallway was a bathroom, which they could just about see due to the fact that the door was partially open. There was a single door on the left, quite close to them. It was to this one that Lydia lead him to, opening it up to reveal the well sized bedroom. She glanced at him,

“Well. This is my bedroom…” She said, for lack of anything better to say. It was as if her brain had suddenly stopped working. She reluctantly pulled her hand from his grip and moved over to the windows where she drew the curtains shut before she reached over to the bedside table and pressed a button on the small pad that was embedded in her bedside table, which turned both of the bedside table lamps on. That way she didn’t need to turn the main light on.

Aelius gave him a smile, before lifting a hand and making a ‘come hither’ motion. The bartender blushed furiously, before he pulled himself away from the bar and moved to leave it. There was a few moments pause as the man was confronted by what seemed like a bar manager. The two seemed to argue for several moments before the bartender pulled off his apron and threw it at the manager before stepping around him and storming off. Several moments later, he seemed to step out of the crowd that surrounded Aelius and Linus.

The Hagorath smiled at the man, who seemed a little abashed as he came closer. Aelius lifted a hand, pressing it against the man’s cheeks before he leaned forwards with his mouth close to the mans ear, before whispering softly, “You’re with me now, my lovely.” The man then seemed to melt against Aelius, wrapping his arms around the predator. With a dark smirk, Aelius wrapped his arms back around him, seeming to give comfort to him. He much preferred his victims to come to him so willingly and throw themselves at his feet. It gave him a sense of power over them, to know that they would happily place themselves within his grip. Because once they were there, there was no escaping. He pulled back from the man slightly, lightly pressing his lips against the man's cheek before pulling away and locking eyes with him as the bartender seemed to swoon, his expression relaxing as he submitted himself completely to his new Masters control. Aelius then glanced over his shoulder towards Linus, silently informing that his meal for the night was well and truly captured. His throat itched, aching to feel the flow of blood down into his throat but doing it amongst such a crowd was risky.

Alez was highly suspicious as she stared into Mr. Enron's eyes. Something about the darkness surrounding this man made her feel extremely uneasy. She reached up to her chest and gripped the pendant she had tucked away into her shirt. Perhaps a critical mistake as it just may catch the man's attention toward the priceless artifact, and it wasn't exactly an item she could just give away. As she sat in the chair, she pondered exactly what she could do to resolve the situation peacefully. She listened to Mr. Enron explain the situation and Sam intervene, after which Mr. Enron quickly shut her down. Hearing this man speak about Sam's boyfriend only frustrated her. She didn't know the full story, but from what she knew, she could assume Sam had been abandoned by someone she cared deeply for.

Alez slammed her hands on the table and quickly stood up from her chair. "That's just horrible!" She called out, staring straight into Mr. Enron's eyes. "I will not sit back and allow you to exploit human love for your own financial greed! Especially from someone in such a desperate situation!"  More importantly, Alez was growing more suspect of this Mr. Enron and his deeds. He seemed far too eager to bring it up just now, especially for someone who's supposedly so busy, it almost seemed as if he was trying to manipulate her actions in order to weave her into his web. What's more, it was clear that his contracts were quite complex judging from Sam's reaction to his claim, meaning this was probably quite a regular occurrence in his office. The aura of darkness surrounding the man was also all-too-familiar to the young celestial.

"I want to know right now what these supposed terms are," she spoke in a demanding tone before leaning closer to Enron's face and speaking in a hushed voice. "...or I swear in the name of Goddess Caelisia that I will expose exactly who you are to the world, and I don't just mean your business practices." As she leaned closer, the chain of her sky pendant glistened in the light of the room. If Mr. Enron hadn't noticed it before, he most certainly would see it here.

His throat itched, aching to feel the flow of blood down into his throat but doing it amongst such a crowd was risky.

Linus smiles at the commotion made by the bartender as he was approached by his boss before seeming to resign and walk towards Aelius. The passionate affection that Aelius had given to the man would not last for long once her knew what they really were and what they planned on doing with the poor fool. He and Aelius both knew that the only people that they would be attached to were each other. The others were mere food or slaves. Toys for them to play around with, if you will.

Linus chuckles and lures the young girl in his arms, presumably in her twenties, towards the entrance of the strip club, motioning for Aelius to follow in his footsteps. The two that they had chosen would not be returning, after all.

Linus made sure to keep direct eye contact with the young girl, less he break eye contact and have her freak out. They didn't need another incident like that which had happened so many years ago. He takes her hand in his, soothing her as he slowly leads her to the car. Once there, he reaches up and presses a pressure point on her neck to make her lose consciousness before putting her in the backseat and buckling her up.

Linus stands outside of the car, waiting for Aelius and his prey to arrive so that they could get going with their victims before anyone starts to get suspicious of their activities

If Mr. Enron hadn't noticed it before, he most certainly would see it here.

While the 'darkness' around Mr Enron was certainly not imaginary, the exact reason for it was not as straightforward as one would think. Alez was correct that Mr Enron was not a very good person, that much could be seen even if one did not have experience with the supernatural. However, what Alez would soon discover what was Mr Enron, though a horrible being, was not literally a demon. Understandably his mannerisms and appearance make comparisons to the daemonic entities known collectively as the Melchom, the paymasters and money dealers of hell dimensions, quite easy. However, that is not to say he was not involved with them and their ilk. It just so happened that he was but for what purpose and who would be a mystery at least for now. Mr Enron's quick eye caught a glimpse of Alez clutching something like a necklace or a pendant hidden underneath her shirt,  which made him think that this person was carrying something valuable. Though he was not certain what it was at the moment, it would be a useful piece of information for later. As Alez started to get progressively angry at the supposed 'injustice' in front of her, Mr Enron seem nonplussed. He was used to seeing people go off at him in his office but he knew his guards would settle down anyone that proved to be a threat. If they didn't work...well, he had something up his sleeve...or in one of his pockets. Looking Alez straight in the eye, Mr Enron promptly gave her a rundown of his usual loan contract, which was indeed complex. He ended the discussion with, "I don't see the issue here. I fully inform the client of the services I offer and the conditions behind them. The choice whether to take it or not is theirs alone. I do not appreciate your insinuation of wrongdoing on my part."

Unfortunately, he did have a point even if a rather narrow one. He had not done anything illegal and in fact, his contracts fulfilled all the necessary legal requirements of full disclosure and transparency. However, it is certainly debatable whether that was indeed enough. As the girl leaned forward, Mr Enron could see part of the valuable thing that was around her neck and wondered what exactly it was.

*Meanwhile, inside the bank, a group of five criminals were making the bank their temporary base. Two of the armed felons were herding the customers of the bank to a central place where they could keep an eye on them as well as use them as bargaining chips with the police outside. Another two were making sure the bank staff were actually getting the money and unlocking the main vault. Another was manning the security system and making sure no cops slip through into the building. They were all armed and obviously masked so that they could not be readily identified. To them, this felt like a game of Payday 2 except in real life. They shouted at the bank staff to hurry up and get their monies. They were all a bit agitated as they had to shoot a few people to get this far, the bodies of two security guards and another person lay on the floor as a grim testament to it. They were unsure what their bosses, twin career criminal brothers, were planning because they were usually more circumspect than this. In the past, they were usually more cautious and hit easier and less well defended targets...and they were all usually certainly gone before the police got here. This bothered the group and they wondered what had changed as they held their ground.*

"Shit, the cops are already here and we're still..." one of the felons said to another as they made sure no 'hostage' escaped. "I don't like this.

"I'm sure Marcus and Spencer have a plan. They always do." replied the other. "This will be the best payday yet!"

"If we make it out alive, that is."

*Outside the bank, the police were cordoning off the area to the public and getting set up for a long negotiation. Though more backup was coming to make sure that the criminals were not going to escape, especially Marcus and Spencer, they were going to be a little while yet. As Officer Alleyne Lancaster surveyed the scene before her, she saw that some civilian Neko had somehow arrived here before they started to cordon off the place. She was not exactly pleased as her intuition seemed to indicate that something big was going to go down and she really didn't want anyone who was not needed here to be here. Something was in the air that suggested to her that this was not going to end well, that this was going to devolve to a firefight. She dearly hoped not but she was prepared in case it did. She approached the male Neko  who had seemed to have followed the police cars here and got his attention*

"Excuse me but you really should get back and out of this area." Alleyne told the Neko, flashing her police badge at him. "Sorry but things may get ugly and I'm not exactly wanting to have to cover someone that can't handle themselves."

Shuya simply chuckled as he was told that he could t handle himself. The male Kitsune shakes his head and smiles before looking at her badge

"Sorry, love... But that's where you're wrong. I can more than take care of myself, in fact, I could easily help you guys out with no casualties."

Shuya's tail begins to slowly wave back and forth in a fluid motion before he took a few steps beck and then ran full force towards the line of cars. At the last second, he jumped, quickly transforming into a large white fox, which managed to startle some of the police officers that hadn't seen him just a moment ago. He looks over at the female who had approached him before giving her the best grin he could in that form. He smiles and sends a telepathic thought towards the woman

<<Still think I can't handle myself? Are you coming or not?>>

Mr. Enron's nonchalance about the whole ordeal only frustrated Alez more, but she tried to suppress her emotions. Otherwise, she would become stuck in this physical form for a while. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again. "You are very much aware of what you're doing." She glanced back at Sam before turning her attention back to Mr. Enron. "Fine. There must be some other way we can settle her debt, right? Even you must know that such absurd numbers are impossible to meet." She wasn't quite sure what she was getting herself into, but with any luck, she would be able to help Sam with some odd jobs to repay her debt. As a celestial, she wasn't quite cunning enough to negotiate nor to pull any trickery to pull the wool over his eyes. She was quite nervous about what kind of job this man would suggest. Knowing his practices, he would probably aggrandize some shady task to convince the two to agree to something dangerous, but with her powers, she was sure she could keep Sam safe at the very least. She could only hope she wouldn't be stuck having to do something clearly illegal.

Location: Random night club

Aelius kept one arm wrapped around his prey as he followed his lover out of the club. Once they had stepped out past the bouncer, they were hit with a cold blast of air. This made the bartender shiver and press himself closer to Aelius, seeking his heat. Unfortunately for him, Aelius wasn’t exactly hot, from having been so long without feeding. However he tightened his grip so that the man wouldn’t move off. Because he had been enthralled with Aelius even before the hypnotism, he was more than willing to stick like glue to the Hagorath as they headed back towards the car.

When the man spotted Linus putting the unconscious woman into their car, he asked, “Is… she okay?”

“Perfect,” Aelius said in a smooth voice, “She’s just had too much to drink. My brother will look after her.” He took the man to the other back passenger door, opening it up before he looked the bartender deeply in the eyes to lock him in place before pressing his fingers against the pressure point on his neck, causing him to slump into Aelius’ arms. Then, like Linus had with the stripper, he bundled the unconscious figure into the car and did up the seatbelt so that he wouldn’t flop all over the place. He then looked at Linus, “Let’s go.” He said, before opening up the front passenger door and getting inside. He settled himself comfortably in the seat, doing up his seat belt before closing the door as he waited for Linus to get into the car and for them to get going. He peered out of the windows, his sharp eyes looking for anyone watching them and, to his relief, saw no one immediately obvious.
