(Sorry Raeghan didn’t answer the question. I couldn’t, due to the awkward timing of the question in relation to my post. I was going to have him answer in this post)

Location: Craethiel Wilds, Southern part of Idgara Forest.

“It should be. Raeghan didn’t report anymore than that.” Rayvenne said, eyeing the two men that Luna had dealt with. She had quite the strong kick, and she idly wondered how strong her legs really were. She dismounted from Maedoc and moved over to the archer that she had hit with her dagger. She bent, gripping the weapon and yanking it from the man’s throat. It caused a small gush of blood to erupt from the wound, but she paid it no attention. She wiped the blade clean, slipping the blade back into its holster before she cleaned her sword and slid it back home. She then returned to Luna, patting her steed on the side of his neck as she said, “We should have a clear path to Kalath now. We can eat something there. There are plenty of inns to take our pick from.” There was at least a dozen that she could recall. But then, with Kalath being at the very centre of the Kingdom, it was the centre of commerce. The only other commerce town was the Dragons Eye, up in the Therarr Mountains. Her original destination before she ran into Luna.

Raeghan fluttered down, landing himself on Luna’s shoulder. He tilted his head at the two bandits that she had taken care of and said, “Good work.” He ruffled his wings a little, looking quite pleased with himself as he surveyed around them. He then turned his attention back to Luna and said, “In relation to your question earlier… I would like to try this potion as soon as possible. I haven’t been human in oh… a hundred years? I would prefer to be fully human. I think it would be nice to be away from my… raven attributes for a while.”

Rayvenne came to stand close by as she said, “I would be unwise to try the potion while we’re in town. Since that is where you will no doubt be getting some of your ingredients, we might be forced to spend the night there. It would be wise until we next make camp in the wilds. The normal population and magic aren’t a good mix. If they even suspect that magic is happening in their town, they’ll hunt you down… no matter how unassuming you look. I’ve seen sweet young women burnt at the stake or dunked in the river just because of a suspicion. It’s why I never bring Raeghan into towns or villages. People… aren’t comfortable with me enough as it is.”

She nodded her head. All good! That was much easier! Of course she had plenty of ingredients now so she didn't really plan on finishing off the two bandits. In fact she wandered closer to check up on them! They would live with a little healing. Just enough to get them by. Her hands lifted up, palms opened towards the men. With soft chanting a white glow spread across her digits, lighting up runes within the air over the bandits. After a few seconds she pulled away, allowing the magic to dissipate. They weren't going to be getting up anytime soon, and they certainly weren't going to be in any fighting condition, but they'd live at least.

"Sounds good to me!"

Not like she needed to worry about having a room. Then again it would've been nice to sleep in a bigger, softer bed. And yes, she could clean herself in a snap, but a warm bath also might have been a nice change! Still, this saved on money. And she wouldn't bug Rayvenne about it. That might have been rude, right?

I mean I sleep naked too! I don't think she'd appreciate sharing a bed. I do wonder what that'd be like though. Sharing a bed with someone. It sounds pretty nice. Wait. Can familiars read minds?

The little rabbit side-glanced just in time for the large bird to land on her shoulder! It was unexpected and, as a result, she was thrown off balance for just a bit! But she recovered easily enough. With a snap of her fingers the bird's feathers were cleaned! Then those same fingers went to work, scratching along the back of the creature's neck. Did birds like getting pet like this? Might as well try it, right?

"That is a fair point. Alright! While we're headed to town I'll get it ready. And then after we leave we'll give it a shot!"

She was admittedly excited to see what Raghaen looked like as a Human! Then she could maybe give him a hug too! Wouldn't that be neat?! Although Rayvenne's comment did catch her a little off guard. Perhaps asking wasn't out of the question? After all, if she had someone to stay with then maybe she'd feel a little better, right? A little more normal? Besides, she could help pay the rent! Kind of unusual for a paying client, certainly, but not for a friend!

"Well I'm comfortable with you! Uh, if that means anything. We can share a room if you want?"

When Luna started to scratch the back of his neck, Raeghan leaned into the caress. His blood red eyes half closed and he relaxed his posture as he enjoyed the attention from her. It felt a little strange to be clean the way she had made him, since he had often made do with baths in small amounts of water which had always sufficed but he always had to be careful not to get his feathers completely soaked as that made flying easier. But this was… nice. He couldn’t wait to have a good, hot bath when he was human again. That was second on his list after the getting laid part. He knew for certain that Rayvenne wouldn’t oblige him, but he remained hopeful that Luna would.

At Luna’s request, Rayvenne’s eyebrows furrowed a little. She felt a little confused, wondering what was wrong with her wagon. She could only guess that, for once, Luna wished to sleep in a real bed instead of in her wagon. A desire she felt she could understand, as sometimes it was nice to just have a change of scenery. But then, for Rayvenne, it was rare for her to spend more than one night in a single bed because she kept on moving and heading to new places. But, given who she was, she wasn’t going to ask as for all she knew, the reason was quite private and the last thing Rayvenne wanted to do was invade in someone’s privacy.

She inclined her head slightly, “It will save money to only get the one room… we can split the cost. I can sleep on the floor if needs be.” She then realised how that sounded, and added, “It’s not the first time I’ve done that. It’s not the most comfortable way to sleep, but far more comfortable than most. I’ve spent most of the recent years sleeping on the ground because I travel a lot.” The corner of her lip twitched a little before she added, “I know this Kingdom like the back of my hand. Including all the back routes.” Raeghan cawed a little, ruffling his feathers before he looked over at Rayvenne before he resumed leaning into Luna’s petting.

Yay! He relaxed! Luna was quite content with scratching along the back of the bird's neck and spine! Of course they typically had hollow bones and so she made absolutely certain not to apply too much pressure. Also to keep in mind were Raeghan's feathers. But he seemed to enjoy her technique well enough! When it came down to intimate things, well, poor Luna hadn't even realized that she'd fully volunteered her services yet. Would she say no? Probably not! She was, after all, curious about such things. Although how far she'd actually go was anyone's guess. Not even she'd know if one asked her at the moment!

When Rayvenne replied Luna could hardly contain her excitement! The large fluffy tail wiggled behind her, ears perking straight upwards! "R-really?" Of course one ear momentarily flopped forward when the woman spoke of sleeping on the floor. However it was for but a second! "Nonsense!" she exclaimed, ear perking right back up! "I don't mind sharing the bed at all! I'm pretty small. I won't take up much space. No worries!"

With a nod she mounted up on Lucky once more, prepared to follow her companions forward! "We can eat some good dinner and drink to celebrate our success against the bandits! Though I do sleep naked. Uh. I hope you don't mind! I guess I could wear something if you do though!" She wasn't picky!

As Luna mounted up on her horse again, Raeghan took flight again, his black wings flaring before he disappeared into the forest once again to scout on ahead to keep an eye out for more trouble. Rayvenne watched him until he disappeared from view before she turned to look towards Luna once again. She raised one of her dark eyebrows before she said, “Where what you want. Or not wear what you want. I don’t really care all that much. But I will certainly be wearing something.” She then turned around and moved back over to Maedoc, mounting up on the large stallion. She gripped the reins and nudged the large horse forwards at a trot to quickly eat up the distance between them and the town of Kalath.

While she wasn’t particularly bothered about sharing the same bed as Luna, she was quite bothered by the thought of sleeping naked with her. She was not one for social norms, thus didn’t care that Luna even suggesting that she sleep naked with a stranger, was considered rude and inappropriate. But she herself would never let anyone see her naked. Not because she was ashamed of her body. She just didn’t like displaying openly how much of a freak of nature she was. The last time anyone had seen her in any kind of intimate light was… a very long time ago. Quite likely long before Luna was even born. She didn’t look that old. Not that Rayvenne had inquired. Nor did she want to.

She roused from her thoughts when another sound intruded on the sound of hooves thudding against the leaf strewn forest floor. She could hear the clinking of armour and the sound of wood impacting. She looked ahead and saw the bridge was now in view, as well as the roofs of the town of Kalath. She slowed Maedoc down to a walk, glancing behind her at Luna, “Guards ahead.” She warned before turning back around. The guards seemed to have taken notice of the group and came forwards, riding various coloured steeds that looked rather puny next to Maedoc. Rayvenna pulled them to a stop, watching the guards approach with a wary glance. Their gaze was just as wary as they came closer.

“State your business, Hunter.” One of the guards demanded of her in a cold and unwelcome tone. Rayvenne just continued to stare at them for a few moments before she replied in a voice devoid of emotions, “Just passing through. I am escorting Miss Luna to Kalath where she wishes to conduct her own business. That is all.”

The guard gave a skeptical grunt, eyeing Rayvenne with dislike before he looked at Luna with a more friendly glance, “Business?” He asked, as if Rayvenne’s reasons were not enough to convince him. The other guards remained tense, their hands cocked near their weapons as if they expected an attack any moment, with most of them glancing towards Rayvenne as if they expected her to be the source of danger.

They would share a bed! And, even better still, Luna could be naked! Perfect! Whether or not Rayvenne wished to undress for sleep was entirely up to her. Luna wouldn't force it either way. But at least she could be more comfortable! More importantly she'd get to share warmth with another person! "Sounds good to me!"

This is gonna be great!

It wasn't too long before they reached their destination. For some reason or another the guards here seemed to be pretty cold towards Rayvenne. That was very much disappointing. For a moment the little bunny frowned, but then their attention focused towards her instead! Of course Luna had been warned about this place and so with a bright cheery smile she replied with a somewhat careful response! Or, at least, careful for her!

"Greetings sir! I am Luna! I am a traveling alchemist and healer! Miss Rayvenne here is escorting me, as she stated already, to Kalath! It's really dangerous out there, ya know? We got attacked twice already! I wouldn't even be here without her help! Anyways, if you'd like to look upon my wares you need only ask! I have plenty for sale! Or if there are any injured I could assist with that too! I mean I dunno if anything has happened around here that might need it but, you know, its always good to make sure that people don't need help with that sorta stuff, right?"

“I’m sorry to hear that you were attacked, madam. We try and take care of those low-life scum when and where we can. But they are good at hiding among the forest.” The guard said, giving Luna a little smile as he was clearly charmed by her cheerful demeanor. He glanced at her wagon before he returned his attention back to her, “Alright, madam. I don’t see anything wrong here. There is a health clinic in town if you wish to find anyone that needs your help. I hope you enjoy your stay here in Kalath.” He said, turning his horse around and riding back towards his patrol position. As he passed Rayvenne he looked at her and told her firmly, “No funny business, Hunter. We will not hesitate to run you through.” He glared at her before he and the group ran off. Rayvenne watched them ride off with unreadable dark eyes before she remarked without much irony, “Well that was quite friendly.”

She then looked over her shoulder at Luna, “That was good… if a little rambly. But pretty disarming for a egotistical man like him.” She said, nudging Maedoc again to continue walking except this time she rode beside Luna. She had seen how much Luna had disarmed the man with her cheerful and open-seeming greeting. It seemed like her attitude had some advantages after all. She was good with dealing with certain types of people, although Rayvenne knew it wouldn’t work on everyone. It certainly didn’t work on her, but she could see that Luna was basically harmless unless you attacked her. She didn’t seem to have a malicious bone in her body. The cynical part of her suggested that it could just merely be an act to hide her true nature, but Rayvenne doubted it.

The sound of hooves thudding against the forest floor gave way to the sharper sound of hooves against stone as they started over the slightly arched bridge. She looked out over the side to see the water tumbling beneath the stone structure. The water itself was quite dark in colour, not allowing her to see that much beneath its surface. But she could see small circles appearing, suggesting that there was a number of fish in the river. Her eyes moved to the bank where she saw a couple of elderly men with fishing poles. They didn’t seem to be paying much attention to the pole, or even the river. They seemed to be talking earnestly with each other, and she decided that perhaps they were old friends. Rayvenne allowed her eyes to slide off of them and towards the village that loomed ahead of them on the other side of the bridge.

"Ahh. That's okay sir! They're really tricky! I'm sure you do your best!" she exclaimed, pausing while they inspected the wagon. Not that she had much to hide. Well, okay, if they checked inside and were really thorough then they might have discovered some weird things. Like how the inside was bigger than it appeared from the outside. Or the chest that lead to a storeroom. Plenty of things might have suggested that she wielded magic. But thankfully only a brief check was made of the outside!

"Oh! Okay! Thank you! I'll check in with them later! Please be safe Mister!"

As they passed the other guards Luna smiled, lowering her head in little bows towards each of them! The comment towards Rayvenne did blunt her smile just a little bit, but she didn't make a fuss about it. After all she didn't want to get Rayvenne in any trouble! "Thanks! Sometimes it's just easier to talk to people, you know? And I can do lots of talking! But it helps too! Like this one time I was set upon by bandits, right? And they wanted to do some really bad things to me! But I talked and I talked and I talked and I talked so much that they just ended up letting me go! Neat, huh?"

Not that she was trying to disarm anyone with her speaking. It was just the sort of person Luna was! And it certainly did have its advantages, especially when she needed to make some much needed sales! Or to get her way in through city gates! But then it had backfired on her before, especially with people similar to Rayvenne in terms of personality. Some people were annoyed by it. Still, the advantages outweighed the negatives by far.

While they ventured further into town she kept her eyes out not only for the clinic but also for a good inn! Then again she didn't know this place like Rayvenne did, so she left the decision up to her. Surely she'd know a good place, right?

“I can’t imagine as to why they let you go.” Rayvenne said in a dry tone at Luna’s comment regarding her incident with some bandits. Either she had talked so much that she had made friends with them. Or she had chatted so much that it was less trouble for them to simply let her go. So it was a guess as to whether it was a good, or bad thing. Rayvenne knew for certain that she wouldn’t want that rambling chatting to be turned on her. She wasn’t sure how long she would be able to take it. She could handle it in small bursts, but someone constantly talking? No, that wasn’t something she would want. She was too used to silence, and being alone other than Raeghan. The two crossed the bridge and walked the short cobblestone bath to the town gate. The guards that stood on either side eyed her suspiciously, but didn’t comment as the two of them passed.

As soon as they were through the gate, they found themselves in a small clear area with market stalls erected as merchants enticed customers to their booth to buy their wares. Rayvenne looked around before saying to Luna, “You’re in luck I see. The market is in. So you can sell, and buy stuff. But first, I think we should find an inn to stay for the night. Otherwise there might not be a room to rent later.”

She knew the perfect inn as well. It wasn’t that far from the front gate, and it wasn’t that expensive either. But nor was it filthy and run down like a number of other inns. Not only that, but the owner of the establishment was one of the few people that treated her with any sort of kindness. He had been grateful when she had saved his daughter from a werewolf that had been stalking the land around the town. She lead the way through the bustling market, ignoring the irritated glances thrown her way until she reached one of the side streets which she lead Luna down until they arrived at a building with a sign above the door that indicated an inn. The lettering carved above the door read ‘The Royal King’. She dismounted, drawing Maedoc closer and tying him to the pole outside, “Come on. Let’s go and rent a room.” She addressed Luna.

She shrugged her shoulders. Luna didn't have a clue either! But then usually it just ended up with both parties being friendly towards one another. Especially when she mentioned the alchemical process for creating alcohol! Bandits really got a kick out of that one! Usually in those cases it ended in one big party and, by morning, she'd end up handing out free samples of a cure-all against hangovers! And then they'd pay her for more! Those were always the best run-ins.

Though sometimes they get kinda touchy first. But hey they're usually nice people once you get to know them!

Her fluffy tail wiggled with glee at the memories! A few had even become friends and some she'd run into on multiple occasions! She'd need to make certain that Rayvenne didn't attack those ones if they ended up in their territory. After all they actually made travel safer when they were befriended! Bandits didn't like other bandits in their own territory.

As they passed the market Luna bounced with glee! She'd make certain to make a pass there before she left this place. But Rayvenne had a good point too. If one didn't book their room early then sometimes they'd end up sleeping outside! Not that Luna needed to worry about such things, but she doubted Rayvenne would want to share the little wagon with her, even if it was bigger on the inside.

"Sounds like a good plan to me!"

When they arrived to the designated inn Luna hopped off her little perch, brushing hands up through Lucky's mane. A carrot was retrieved and fed to the horse. "You be good now, okay? I'll get the reigns off you once we settle down for the night. Please bear with me until then."

Arms stretched out overhead as she turned towards the door. With a nod she followed close behind her traveling companion, excited to see what sort of inn Rayvenne had chosen for them today!

Rayvenne glanced over her shoulder towards Luna as she fed her horse a carrot, before she shook her head slightly and opened the door to the inn and stepped inside. Like most inns, it had a low hanging ceiling and was dimly lit. There was wooden tables and chairs within the main room, tightly fitted together but not so close to be cramped. The floor was made of stone that was littered lightly with straw. On the far end of the main room was a stone fireplace, that had a fire roaring inside of it which radiated a comforting warmth throughout the entire room. Along the right wall was a bar that had stools sitting close to it. There was only a few people in the room at this time of day. One was eating some kind of soup, while another was lying on the table, snoring. The man behind the bar was a little on the portly side, his hairline receding and his clothes were somewhat clean. But he had kind eyes and a cheery smile as he was cleaning the tankards. He looked up when the two of them walked in and his smile seemed to beam across the room,

“Rayvenne! It’s been a long time I’ve seen you! You’re looking well! You haven’t aged a bit!” He said.

With a slight grimace, Rayvenne came forwards to stand next to the bar, “I know, Glenn. I’ve been travelling around a lot. I haven’t had the chance to drop by Kalath for a while… How’s Olivia?”

“Oh, she’s doing well. Very well. Married now, to the local blacksmith. She couldn’t be happier!” Glenn said, beaming with pride. His eyes then shifted to look at Luna, “And who is this lovely young lady?” He asked.

“She’s my employer. I’m helping her with a quest of hers.” Rayvenne said, deciding to allow Luna to speak for herself in her introduction. The man looked at Luna appraisingly before smiling kindly at her, “I’m Glenn, and I’m glad to meet you.” He introduced himself, putting down his tankard and the cloth that he had been using to clean it, “Can I get you two anything?” He then asked.

“At the moment, just a room.” Rayvenne said, slipping a hand into her pouch and pulling out some copper coins which she put on the bar counter. Glenn reached forwards and used his fingers to shift them a little as he counted them. He then swiped the coins from the surface and said, “Alright, Rayvenne. Second door on the right when you go upstairs. And you know the way to the stable. It’s still there.” He then grinned at the two of them.

Wide sparkly eyes darted about, taking in the interior of the new inn! Well, it wasn't exactly new, but it was new to her! She typically didn't visit these places, although only because she had her own mobile home. Still, this one did share a few similarities with the last one! It was homey and warm and looked just like one might if one had been reading about an inn within a story!

As Rayvenne made her way for the bar Luna followed close beside the taller woman. Her head drifted from side to side, darting between Rayvenne and the man named Glenn. She wasn't about to interrupt them, after all. That would have been rude! It was always nice to see these friendlier interactions between Rayvenne and others as well. She could probably do with more of them, but then she figured the lack of them probably wasn't her fault either.

When she was finally addressed Luna put on her biggest smile, lowering her head forth out of respect! "Hello! I am Luna! I'm a traveling alchemist and healer! It is nice to meet you Mister Glenn!" She allowed Rayvenne to bring up the idea of rooms, but Luna also reached into a little coin purse on her side! Then she hopped up onto a stool, slamming a couple of coins onto the counter!

"Could we also please have some lunch?" With that request made she turned to Rayvenne with a smile, large fluffy tail wiggling behind her! It would be good to eat while they were here, right?

“Of course you can.” Glenn said with a smile at Luna. He seemed to be resisting the urge to reach out and tweak her chin in a paternally affectionate manner, “I’ve got some potato and leek soup on to cook. Comes with some slices of fresh bread. Will that be good for you both?”

“That will be fine. Thank you, Glenn.” Rayvenne said with a ghost of a smile before she moved off towards the corner of the room where she slipped into a chair. She interlocked her fingers as she leaned her arms on the table in front of her as her dark gaze moved around the room. Glenn had shuffled off, disappearing behind a door to deal with their order.

There was a loud snore from the sleeping patron before he jerked awake and lifted his head to stare with blurry eyes around the common room. He seemed to wipe his mouth with his sleeve before grumbling to himself. He got to his feet and stumbled towards the front door. He paused at the entrance, holding onto the door frame for support before he stumbled out onto the street, leaving just Rayvenne, Luna and the man eating his soup. She had expected it to be a little more busy at this time of the day, especially with the market in town. She worried that perhaps the owners weren’t exactly making the money they used to.

She watched as Glenn came back, still smiling as he usually did. He saw her looking and said, “Lorna will be out with your food soon!” He then turned and went back to cleaning his tankards with his cloth. Rayvenne sighed and leaned forwards a little before commenting to Luna, “I expected it to a little busier in here. Glenn and Lorna are very gracious hosts, and there is a bustling market. I wonder why it’s so… empty.” She frowned a little, feeling quite concerned. It seemed too unusual.

Her hips wiggled excitedly within her seat upon the stool! Yes! Proper lunch! Well, the meal she'd made with Rayvenne had been proper, but this was a tavern lunch! Those were, as she'd recently discovered, quite delicious! "Yay! Thank you very much Mister Glenn! That sounds delicious!"

While she waited for the food to return Luna spun herself within her seat! She figured that Rayvenne maybe wanted to sit on her own and, therefore, had simply elected not to take a seat next to the little bunny. Luna understood. It was grating for some people to be around her. Besides, Rayvenne seemed as well to be the person who just enjoyed being alone sometimes! So for the next few minutes she remained quiet, stopping her spinning only to wave towards the man who departed.

Once Glenn returned she stopped a second time, wobbling around within her seat, giggling like a lunatic as the room spun quickly within her eyes! "Thank you again Mister Glenn! I really like your place! Its super nice and warm and cozy and comfortable!" Her gaze did turn when Rayvenne finally spoke up. Was it supposed to be busier at this time of day? She tilted her head, turning it back towards Glenn.

"Why is it really empty? Do you know Mister Glenn?"

Rayvenne seemed disappointed. Perhaps even a little bummed out! If Luna could turn that frown upside down then she'd totally try her best in order to do so! Maybe they could help in some way!

Glenn chuckled a little at Luna’s exuberant words, “I’m glad you like the place.” He said with a smile, before turning away as he picked up a glass and cleaned it. However he paused, seeming to tense a little at Rayvenne’s observation as well as Luna’s question. He put the glass back down before he turned back around and looked at Luna with a slightly furrowed look. After a moment he looked at Rayvenne before glancing at the other customer still eating. He then said, “Let’s not be concerned with that.” He coughed a little before saying, “But, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen you, Rayvenne. It would be nice to be able to talk to you a little later, don’t you think?”

Despite the casualness of the question, and it seeming to be nothing more than an invitation to catch up, Rayvenne caught the hidden message. He needed to talk to her about something. So she nodded, “Sure. I would love to. I should have some free time later.” She said.

“Good. Good!” Glenn smiled, looking quite relieved. A nervous tension seemed to drain from him before he turned and continued cleaning his glass. Rayvenne cocked an eyebrow, wondering just what was wrong. It was something he clearly didn’t want to talk about in front of other customers, which made her wonder if it was something he wanted her help with. Well, since he had always been kind to her, she would help as best as she could.

The door behind the bar opened and a portly woman with kind brown eyes and chocolate brown hair tied back in a bun. She was carrying two large plates which had a bowl of soup as well as six thick slices of brown bread. She gave Luna, the first one she saw, a warm smile, “Here you go, sweetheart. Eat up! I hope you enjoy it!” She said as she carefully put the plate down in front of the rabbit girl.

Once Luna had responded, she moved over to Rayvenne and put her plate down in front of her, “Well, it’s been a while since we’ve seen you, Rayvenne. I’m glad to see you’re making friends!” She said, referring to Luna. Rayvenne held her breath for a moment before she said, “Luna is my employer. I’m helping her.”

“I see. I see.” The woman said, her tone indicating that she didn’t quite believe her. She then turned and moved back over to Luna, “It’s nice to see her finally making some friends. I hope you look after her, alright?” She said with a wide smile, causing Rayvenne to sigh and wish she could facepalm. She settled for rubbing her forehead, before shaking her head and picking up a piece of bread to start eating.

The bunny's head tilted. Awww. She was actually a little concerned! Also curious. Very, very curious! Unfortunately the hidden message seemed to soar right over her head, ears and all, but she'd drop the issue for the moment simply because Rayvenne had seemed to do just that! Maybe she could ask the woman about it later?

"Ahhh. Okay."

A glance was cast in Rayvenne's direction. Would she desire some alone time with Mister Glenn later? It was a question better left for when they departed, right? Unless she ended up excusing herself into the back with him regardless. Either way she wouldn't get involved if it seemed like they wanted it to be private. After all that'd just be rude!

When the door leading to the back opened up Luna sat up straight! Both hands were raised, waving excitedly towards the person! Once more the puffy ball of white behind her also started to jiggle around! Of course the sweetheart comment did draw a faint pink to her cheeks. "Thank you very much! It looks delicious!" she exclaimed, leaning in closer to sniff at the bowl! "And it smells great too!"

Without a moment's hesitation Luna tore off a chunk of the bread, drawing it up to her mouth! It was polite to taste a person's freshly made bakery goods without the use of soup. At least it seemed more polite that way. Besides, how else was one to savor every flavor of the dish? In this case she was not disappointed: it was delicious! A spoon was lifted up afterwards and with a slurp she tested the soup!

"It's so yummy! Thank you very much Miss!"

She started to dig right in, occasionally dipping the bread in to soak up some of the broth. One ear perked straight up however when mention was made of her being Rayvenne's friend! With bread stuffed in her face Luna's sparkly multi-colored eyes drifted over towards the woman. Was it really true?! They were friends?!?!

Her ear flopped down in front of her face when an answer was given. Awww. Oh well! It'd just take more time! Probably! Of course she was caught off guard when she was addressed again, quickly swallowing her mouthful of food! "I will do my best!" she exclaimed, sitting up straight for a moment only to them bow her head forward! And then she sat up straight once more! "Oh yeah! I'm Luna! Uh, I'm a traveling alchemist and healer! It is nice to meet you Miss!"

And with that said she went right back to devouring her food!

It had been several days in the making, her travel was not easy, not by any means- it took forever! However, no trouble so far found its way to her, which left her bored on that front. She -wanted- to encounter danger, it was the high of the moment that truly made her feel alive again, without a fight against some monster she didn’t feel it. The dull life of keeping to safe-havens wasn’t her style, she had to always be on the frontline of fighting and protecting something. But this trip didn’t allow her any sort of feel, instead, it was simple – she had just arrived within Kalath. It wasn't like she stayed in one spot for too long, so it wasn't surprising that she'd end up all the way out here looking for something of interest. Hopefully some merchant would need some type of protection traveling through the lands to deliver their goods – yes, she was looking for work instead of immediately going to the Adventurer’s guild for it. People kept looking at her with those sad puppy dog eyes of pity and she didn’t need it. So lately she’s been looking for trouble or…something herself. It’s like they couldn’t move on- so she couldn’t in exchange, it made her own situation that worst, but they didn’t understand that.

Either way, she needed a place to find some people that perhaps needed some assistance somewhere and somehow. Leading her to a nearby tavern/inn of Kalath to possibly find someone willing to let her feel alive again, “Hey!” Her entrance is noticeable since she doesn’t keep quiet, her voice practically booming as she moves through the front entrance of the Tavern, possibly interrupting most conversations with that. “I’m hungry, what do you got?” She questions the employee or the assumed employee, “Hopefully stew, I love homemade stew.” But would this really be considered homemade? It was inside of a business vendor after-all and made specifically for that instead of with the warmth of filling a family’s stomach. Oh well, those details didn’t really concern her, “Oh?” A loud girl from behind catches her attention, with a voice to rival her own boom in full,

“……I’ll have what she’s having!” Or was it a special type of ordeal? She didn’t know, not coming in directly when the conversation was more personal, she had arrived a few moments after the entire exchange- but she couldn’t help to notice the girl’s abnormal features, the large bunny ears kind of giving away her unnatural self. That intrigued her but not in the /right/ way, no it made her. . .feel uncomfortably dark for some reason, maybe a bit of prejudice crawling underneath Alice’s skin, “Hi there.” Though she won’t come off hostile at all, a bright smile given to the young-looking girl, while she shares a glance for Rayvenne as well – “Are you two traveling?” A tilt of her head is given within her inquiry, “I’m traveling too!” It was probably rude to butt into someone else’s business, but she didn’t have any other way to find someone in need of another to join them. Her thick garb of silk and embroidery of gold probably didn’t give the “traveler” feel, though it was just the protective gear of her War Cleric, the fabric was armor and protective for the girl’s well-being and made her look good!

Before Lorna could respond to the hyperactive little bunny girl, the door opened and a loud voice echoed around the room, causing Glenn to jump and almost drop the glass he was holding. He turned, blinking in surprise at the female figure as she came in, seeming to fill the entire room with her presence. Rayvenne looked up, soup dripping from a piece of breed as she eyed this newcomer, her dark eyes guarded as she watched her. After a moment, she saw nothing threatening about her so resumed eating her soup. She appeared to be someone as loud and as excitable as Luna. If those two started going at it, it was sure to give her a headache. So she just kept quiet and concentrated on her soup in an attempt to be ignored, as she really didn’t want to draw attention to herself.

Glenn blinked again as the women questioned what he had, clearly a little taken back by her forward nature. He put the glass he had been cleaning down, just as the girl said that she would have what Luna had. By now, he had gotten his bearings and he said, “Alright. One Potato and Leek soup. That will be three copper.” He then looked over at Lorna, “My dear, would you…?” He trailed off. Lorna didn’t seem to be paying attention as she was smiling at the new customer. She then looked at Luna, “Well, it seems I need to get back to serve up some more of that soup. I’m Lorna. And since you’re a friend of Rayvenne’s, please feel free to drop by whenever you can. It would be lovely to hear from you.” She said, before she disappeared back through the door behind the bar.

Rayvenne looked up when the woman suddenly turned her attention on herself and Luna. She swallowed her mouthful of bread before saying, “I’m employed by her.” She pointed towards Luna before picking up her spoon and taking a sip of her soup, hoping that the fact that she was eating would indicate her lack of desire for a conversation. She did discreetly check the woman out, observing her. She certainly wasn’t dressed like one of the villagers, nor like some kind of housewife. It gave credit to her story that she was a traveller. But unless she had companions elsewhere in the town, it seemed that she travelled alone like how Rayvenne usually did, with the exception of Raeghan.

Suddenly the door to the inn slammed open, prompting the bunny to jump in her seat! Thankfully she hadn't been holding her bowl. That would've been a depressing end to her meal! Her gaze snapped over towards the stranger, ears perking straight up! She certainly was loud, wasn't she? Also she seemed aggressive, although not in a bad way. Socially aggressive! Yes! That was the proper description!

I hope she's nice!

When a greeting was cast her way Luna lifted a hand, waving excitedly! "Hello!" she chirped, looking back towards Lorna for a few moments. Her head nodded quickly, ears flopping with each movement! "It was really nice meeting you Miss Lorna! I'll do just that!" Of course when she was addressed once more by the newcomer Luna turned in her seat to face the woman again, lowering her head forward respectfully!

"I'm Luna! She's right, we're traveling together. I'm a traveling alchemist and healer! It is nice to meet you Miss! Might I ask where it is you're going?"

Again her bread was dipped into soup, left for a brief couple of seconds to absorb the broth before she drew it up for another bite! Her large puffy tail wiggled with glee while she curiously awaited this person's response! Perhaps they'd be just as chatty as she was! While Rayvenne certainly would not desire such a thing it would at least keep them both occupied, right? That meant less people talking to Rayvenne and that in turn meant a happier Rayvenne!

It seemed meals here weren’t as expensive as those in the big cities, but it was to be expected, it was smaller in size and population. Though she’d happily pop out the copper for him to take in full, “Thank you ha—” Before she could flirt or give in to her natural habit of such a thing, he said ‘dear’ and the realization of him having someone shut her up real fast— “Ha! Sounds good.” The girl would add – redirecting herself in hopes of hiding behind her change of words. Clearly meaning no disrespect in her attempts to cover up her tracks, “So you’re familiar with the people here, huh?”  Though the last piece of the clue was when the woman mentioned one of their names, mainly Rayvenne’s- the more reserved and quieter one, like Rayvenne herself, she had a habit of observing and checking out other people to try and get a guess on them. However, Rayvenne gave off the loner vibe, despite being in the company of another, though she could respect it. After all, she didn’t like staying too long with the same people after the adventure had taken place- for she feared attachment and a repeat of past pain.

“Employed! Well, as like her bodyguard?”

That was the assumption, but she’d find the little bunny to be of importance, not many alchemists around. “I see! So you must be traveling to do trades with your formulas. Alchemy is some strong stuff.” Very diverse and difficult to study, it’d take a while to be able to completely create with it and this young girl had already established that. She was very impressed, “I’m jealous!” She drones – half-kidding and half-serious, it was still taking her time to complete work on herself and this relic. Either way, once the topic is turned upon herself – she’d smile at the bunny-girl, “I travel around to see if people need help with anything.” Though mostly she hopes they need help with monsters and not just trivial affairs. She wasn’t meant to help someone with their lost cat,

“So if you need any help with something, I’m your girl. I’m not trying to take your friends’ business away though. I’m for free, you can act as if I’m just her assistant in her task.” Whatever she could find out in the wilderness would be her payment, the gem was getting restless in not being fed and she would hope to find something to give to it.

Rayvenne paused in her eating when the stranger inquired to the nature of her employment. She just merely nodded her head a little before turning her attention back to her soup, but she continued watching out of the corner of her eye, while listening to the conversation. The last thing she wanted was for Luna to be endangered, as she prided herself on a job well done. She raised her eyes slightly, once more looking at the stranger as she spooned more soup into her mouth. She paused when the stranger offered their help, before saying that she worked for free. This made her bristle a little in suspicion. No one worked for free. There was always a price. She lowered her spoon a little, dipping it into the rich broth,

“Free? Forgive me for being suspicious, but no one works for free.” Rayvenne asked, her tone laced with suspicion as she eyed the stranger. Considering the fact that Luna was a witch, there was every chance that this person was attempting to get close enough to attack by surprise. Luna was incredibly naive and would no doubt find nothing suspicious in wanting to work for free. She wasn’t the kind of person that might find something malicious in such an offer. Rayvenne however, had been burnt too many times to let that slide without question.

Glenn looked up in surprise at her, before he looked over at the stranger but didn’t comment on it, deciding that it would be best to stay out of things. Lorna came out from the kitchen, “Okay, sweetheart, here’s your…” She started however trailed off when he sensed the sudden tension in the room. She blinked and looked from the stranger to Rayvenne before saying a little nervously, “Well… Here’s your soup. Where… where are you sitting?”

Her head nodded swiftly. Exactly like her bodyguard! But also a friend. Then again Rayvenne might not have considered it that way. Not yet anyways! Someday she would! Hopefully!

"It certainly can be! I dunno if I'd trade my formulas though. Like, the potions themselves sure! But formulas are a well-guarded secret among alchemists! If you need anything special I might have it available for trade!"

Another bite was taken from her soup-soaked bread! And then another spoonful of delicious broth was sipped. She nodded a few times when the woman mentioned traveling around to help people. Luna did the same! Sorta! At least with her healing! It was always nice to see another generous person around. Of course the idea that she'd assist for free did cause the bunny to pause in her meal consumption, ears perking straight up!

"Really?!"

However she went quiet when Rayvenne started to speak. Partially out of respect and partially because it'd be rude to interrupt but also because the woman was her assigned bodyguard. Rayvenne's assessment was also correct: Luna didn't for a second believe anything to be wrong with a free offer of help! Especially not from someone who seemed so nice! She really was easy to take advantage of. But she also understood that this was the case at times and, in this particular case, Rayvenne was just doing her job. Ultimately she'd look towards the more experienced woman's approval on these matters.

When Lorna returned Luna looked towards her, waving excitedly! In a room of tension there was a little bubble of ignorant happiness. Luna was that bubble. Or at least the source of it!

"Hi again! She can sit next to me! I don't mind!"

                                                                                                                ======================================================

                                                                                                                                           [ Location: Kalath ]

Suspicion was fine, she’d think the same, trusting a stranger was like asking someone to stab your party in the back. However, what she wanted they couldn’t really provide, regardless of the monsters she might find on the trip would suffice for payback at the Adventurer’s guild. She only needed proof of the hunting and conquering, so she’d be fine on that front, especially with her reputation there. Though she wouldn’t really have any reason to stab either of these two unless they were monsters in disguise, her first thought that Luna was- but her personality has completely put her off that idea. In any case, if they both did turn out to be evil, she was confident enough that she could fend them off or die trying.

“Well, what I want neither if you can provide."

Or could they? But she felt like neither of them were monsters, “So for you it’s free but for me, it is not.” Because to slay monsters she would need to put in work, now wouldn’t she? “I just want to kill off anything that comes at you with ill-intent in the wilderness, that’s all. I don’t think that’s too much trouble on you and her, is it? Unless. . .. you’re wanting the monsters, then I’ll pay for them. Or at least get half of their remains. Either works.”

Then when Luna offers the seat beside her, Alice would immediately sit down directly there, waving to the woman that had returned with the meal itself. “Thank you! Smells wonderful.” She’d praise, while gripping onto the spoon – trailing back to Luna’s conversation on the formulas, which made sense to her, “Maybe when I need something someday, I’ll look your way.” For now – all she needed was this dreadful gem that embedded itself selfishly into her chest, using her body for its power consumption. Honestly, she had no idea what would happen in the end, would this thing end up killing her? There is a shake of her head because it wasn’t the time to think of negativity, she was conducting ‘business’.

“I agree, you shouldn’t give out your formulas, they’re precious. You’d be very important for an adventuring party; healing potions are expensive. You could probably make tons of gold coins from those too- try selling some in the market place!”

Though the girl probably already did that since she could pay for someone to be her bodyguard. “You probably already do that though, huh? I shouldn’t give advice that you’re probably already working on!”  She’d return to diving into the soup and bread, a satisfying hum escaping her lips as she continues – munching away on the food given to her. Some slurping is made when she decides to drink some of the broth, “Delicious. Probably worth more than three coppers!” The girl would complement,

“Oh, I did talk a lot there didn’t, I? Do you have any more inquiries?”

One of Rayvenne’s eyebrows rose when the stranger stated that what she wanted, neither of them could provide. So, she was getting something out of it, but she wasn’t been too clear on what. But what she said next, made Rayvenne wonder if she was someone who slayed monsters and made her money by selling their parts for use by various people, including alchemists or magic users. She straightened a little, watching the stranger for a few moments before she said, “Fair enough.” She then turned her attention to her soup. Of course, this didn’t mean that she trusted the stranger, and she would make sure that she kept an eye on her. If Luna wanted to drag her along, then it was her decision. Rayvenne was merely a guide and bodyguard. She had no final say over who accompanied them. And it seemed that Luna, as what seemed to be usual for her, was quickly warming up to her and making a new friend.

Lorna gave the woman a small smile as she put the plate of soup and bread down on the table beside Luna, “You’re welcome. I hope it tastes as wonderful as it smells.” She said, bowing her head a little before she retreated back into the kitchen, the door thudding close behind her. Glenn remained silent, watching the three women with a curious glance. The only other customer in the tavern let out a loud belch before he stood up and stepped away from the table, “Thanks, Glenn. I’ll be seein’ ya’” He said in a rough and gravelly tone before he left through the front door.

Rayvenne glanced towards the man before she turned to her own meal, picking up one of the slices of bread and tearing it in half before dipping it into the hot liquid of the soup before biting down on it. While she decided to remain out of the conversation between Luna and this stranger, she still paid close attention. She was ready to jump up the moment the stranger posed Luna any sign of danger. She twitched a little when she heard the sound of slurping, feeling her throat tighten in reflex irritation as the sound made her want to cringe as her skin seemed to crawl. But she swallowed the feelings down and quietly continued to eat, leaving the last piece of bread to scoop out the remains of the soup.

"We can't?"

What could she be after that they couldn't provide? Perhaps it was some sort of secret artifact! Or a concept! Alchemy could do certain concepts. Like love! She could brew a love potion! But she didn't have a family potion or a 'fix my depressing past with my estranged father who perished away in a freak trampoline accident' potion.

As it turned out she just wanted to kill dangerous things! That actually sounded somewhat like what they were after. Yes, as it turned out she needed to hunt monsters. The little bunny's eyes widened, shiny sparkly glimmers erupting in a fountain of colors within her multi-colored orbs! Perhaps it really was fated that they all travel together! More friends could only lead to good things, right?! But she didn't want to be rude to Rayvenne either, and so a few glances were cast in her direction, mostly in an attempt to judge whether or not she might mind.

When Alice accepted the offered seat Luna started to work with more focus upon her dinner! She didn't want it to get cold after all! Bread was quickly scarfed down, as were the contents of the soup until nothing but broth remained. This she sipped upon while she continued to listen.

It was good that she agreed about the formulas! They were an alchemist's lifeblood! That and the materials, but materials could always be acquired. And of course the advice was well-spoken, although it was already something she had in mind. Still, it was the thought that counted, right? A brief glance was made towards the man who left. Then, finally finished with her soup Luna settled the empty bowl down, sighing contently!

"Its okay! Uh. Well. Right now I'm seeking out a Dragon! Not to kill it. I'd like to try and speak with one. Barter even! I mean if it attacks and we have to kill it then we will but I'd much rather avoid any bloodshed if at all possible. It might bring us into contact with other monsters though. You could certainly come along too! But I would like to handle as many as possible through diplomacy and, of course, as an alchemist I would require certain parts from them too! And of course you'd have to get Miss Rayvenne's permission!"

With a spin in her seat Luna faced Rayvenne, smiling while her feet gently kicked back and forth over the ground. "I may have hired your services but this is just as much your journey as it is mine! And, well, I'd like to be considerate of your feelings on all this too!"
